I stayed in this hotel three times during my trip in Madagascar,a total of six nights.I had two different rooms. The cheaper one was in the obviously older part of the building. It had thin walls, creaky wooden floor,a small fan,not so comfortable bed with a blanket that smell a little bit and a window that looked out in a balkony with great... We turned up here, a little concerned to be honest. It's underwhelming for what the pictures show from the outside, and you're greeted by a security guard who opens a sliding steel door. HOWEVER - that's all for your safety and inside it like a little haven. It's light filled, i recommend a room with a balcony and its very... More

We had a great time in this hotel. The staff is wonderfully kind and helpful. They speak good English, not just French. The breakfast was good but what made it even better was the view of Rova. Good location in the center.

Neat hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Receptionists speak good English, which is really rare even in the capital. Single rooms are quite small but well equipped, shared bathrooms kept really clean and hot water is available in the shower. Cute small balcony offers nice view of the city.

We stayed here on three occasions in September and October. From the outside it does not look promising. It is on a narrow, steep road and the entrance is both easy to miss and always under lock and key: Ring the bell, to the left and high up if you are not spotted. Once in a narrow corridor gets you... Like most of the reviews say the place looks pretty crap from the outside and the street looks the same but once in through the secure doorway, bell to get in is on the left and up the narrow staircase you are given a warm welcome by staff who speak French as well as English. The place is a bit... More

Staff in this hotel was flexible, helpful and friendly, food is very very good and not expensive. Rooms are not luxuriousooms, but they are suitable to price, they are clean and comfortable. Friendliness of the staff is top. The rooms have free wifi.

this is way late, I travelled to Mada Nov 2013-Jan 2014 on a bike trip with a friend. She had booked this guesthouse on-line before we went just to get organized once we arrived. It was a super great place and we stayed there everytime we passed thru Tana, which was often 3-4 times over 2 months. It is a... More

Best breakfast ever, the owner makes the papaya jam that you get with your bread and such and it was DELICIOUS. she is also very nice and as helpful as can be. Some rooms are bad since they are in the centre of the building and have no windows. The room that I first stayed in was nicer ( had... More
