My wife and I stayed here on our first and then last night in Antananarivo. It really was a great introduction to the city after our arrival. The view over the city is truly amazing and provides a good perspective of its layout. It's located high on a hill close to the palace. Keep in mind that it is a...

In the heights of Madagascar, romantic and with stupendous views over the city Great food, great service + buffet breakfast (which is rare in Mada). Rooms are clean and somehow romantic. Nb 2 & 3 have a private (shared) terrace. Located very close from the queen palace.

We spent two individual nights at Lokanga as it served as the hub to our spoke visits in Madagascar. Excellent location which afforded us a beautiful view of the city from our balcony. The room was charming. Not sure what's available in Tana but this hotel certainly worked for us. We enjoyed our dinners here and the conversation with staffers...

We really enjoyed taking a break during our road tour of Madagascar and spent a couple of nights here. The beautiful colonial style decor and the terrace/garden with great views of the all city create a relaxing and charming atmosphere. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom well-equipped.

We've stayed two times in the Lokanga hotel. The good things about it are the view over Tana, which is truly beautiful, the restaurant (both food and atmosphere are really nice) and the service. The rooms itself are only ok, and breakfast is super simple. But in a city famous for mainly having bad hotels, it's definitely worth staying in....

Thanks for the feedback; We have transmitted to the Chef & kitchen staff your compliments for the food. Regarding the suites, there are all antique furnished and are equipped with electrical heaters for the chilly winter nights of Tananarive. Regarding breakfast, we serve a buffet breakfast with bread, gingerbread, toasts, homemade jam, honey, nutella, cereals, fruit, homemade yogurts, cheese, pancakes,...

My husband me I stayed here for our first night in Madagascar after a late flight arrival. The room was so opus and comfortable in old colonial style. The view of the city from the terrace is incredible. You can see the whole of Tana. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. We tried various Malagasy dishes...

This comfortable and splendidly furnished hotel is set on the Royal Hill, providing incredible views over the city. The rooms have different themes and are equipped with antiques and family souvenirs. The bathroom was enormous and there was also a pleasant outside balcony, again with panoramic views. The staff were friendly and professional and we enjoyed the cuisine there. We...

Fab little gem near the palace with amazing views and tranquil garden! Great for a beer and lunch! Specials and desserts are really good! Super service too; we had the zebu and butter chicken which was really creamy! Burger bread was very hard!

This is a stunning place to stay and a piece of Malagasy history - the house where the Queen's Palace musicians used to live, and it is a delight! Each bedroom is full of antiques and some have balconies looking out over all of Tana below. The restaurant is excellent - eat on the terrace or indoors. and sometimes a...

My husband and I stayed at the Lokanga Boutique Hotel on Christmas Eve. It is a quaint and comfortable lodging in a colonial-style building filled with antiques and other interesting decor. We were given a welcome drink upon arrival while they arranged our check-in details. Our room, the Explorator, was several flights up. Warning: I did not see an elevator....
