Hotel was clean and modern. Desk staff very attentive and helpful, even calling our next (unrelated) hotel to confirm our reservation and check details of our upcoming stay. Restaurant has a decent menu and good service.

I think it is the best secure place in Tana. I enjoy the hotel and the welcome. It is a small village within Tana with a food court. We are far from the unsecured and poor condition of life inTana center.

This little hotel is located in the French expat district of Tana, in a gated compound that sets it aside from the hustle and bustle of frenetic Tana. The rooms are simple, but very attractively appointed, comfortable, and clean. Staff is very friendly. Bottled water is available for guests in little refrigerators in the halls - a very nice touch!...

Located in a more up market part of Antananarivo, a little outside the downtown mayhem and traffic, the hotel Tamboho works pretty well in the local context (where I would rate it higher). The rooms are clean, decent enough and quiet even though mine was on the street side, there is bottled water in the fridges in the corridor, and...

The hotel is well located adjacent to a residential area with a shopping mall and restaurants. Rooms are reasonable size and well maintained. The staff are responsive. There is a oool and the grounds well maintained.

The hotel is set within a gated compound that houses a small shopping mall, with a pharmacy. This is good for those wishing to have some security and peace of mind while visiting Antananarivo. I was slightly disappointed with the amenities, there is no gym, the pool is small and outdoor, and suffers from mosquitos in the evening. My room...

Nice staff, but a lot of them don't seem to understand English. When I got to my room, I found more than 10 dead mosquitoes on my bed (under the comforter too). When I called reception about it, they just sent someone to spray raid all over my room. The woman asked if I wanted it sprayed on my bed!...

Thanks for your review, We start this month english course for the staff. We started with french course three years ago, as Madagascar has been visited by more french than English speaker. For mosquitoes, we put some net on the windows to allow fresh air in the room during the summer season and use spray every evening. Sorry the staff...

I have stayed several times at this hotel. It is a small boutique hotel. Staff is wonderful, cuisine good, though if you stay there for more than a week the menu becomes a little bit limited - but in this section of town, Tana waterfront, there are, at least during the day, some alternative places to eat (not so much...

I recently spent 6 nights at the Tamboho on a business trip. The most striking thing about this place is the location – set on a somewhat swampy lake with pleasant views and attractive landscaping as well as a large number of birds. It sits within a small gated enclave of nice mini-malls, shops, and restaurants called the Tana Waterfront....

We stayed on and off in this hotel for about two weeks and were utterly satisfied with this stylish contemporary hotel. Comfortable king size bed, beautiful shower, nice balcony and fantastic view if your room looks over the lake and the city. Great breakfast buffet, sitting outside on the terrace. Staff service excellent, too ! Definitely our place to back...
