Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Location, service, hospitality and good disposition, all wonderful.
The rooms are clean and hygienized, the food could not be better in both quality and quantity and the island is simply paradisiacal.
Congratulations to the entire team.
The misses are many, I wish to come back.

A true paradise in the middle of the ocean. Possibly the most beautiful place I've been to. The accommodation, food, service, cleanliness and friendliness are fantastic. This nature is luxuriant.
Whoever goes comes back!

See pix to whet your appetite - see my earlier post for more information. From countries in europe without a Guinea Bissau embassy or consulate, you can get a visa on arrival at OXB airport in Bissau.

This place is amazing, it is a tiny island with so many sophisticated details like hammocks, yoga place, water bucket in front of the room to get the sand off before entering, light with movement sensor on the bungalows so one does not walk in complete dark, indeed a small paradise! The food was amazing too, they even catered for vegetarians with some proper vegetarian dishes:-). But most importantly the hosts are amazing and were incredibly kind to me when I had to return the morning after arrival due to a family emergency, they got me a private (bumpy, but safe:-)) boatride without extra charge so I made the flight in time, thank you so much again Sonia and Laurent, we will back!!

Incredible tiny island in the middle of nowhere! You should plan in advance because there is very limited spots. I can't wait to come back soon.
By the way, great food and even better weather.
Thanks for the beautiful days with you, guys!

Laurent, Sonia & family (a great extended family) provide for anglers and tourists the best experience. He knows the local indigenous peoples probably better than any other white man alive. Anglers are the foremost clients, but there are also anthropologists studying the ancient matrilineal society in the Bijgos plus a great number of of expats who visit from Bissau especially on weekends. That makes for a change from talking fishing all week...... Food is brilliant and always fresh. Excellent beers & wines from Portugal. Pumped water is treated to the highest standard and can be trusted. Mosquitos are rare but can be brought in by visitors. Some biting flies, so take sensible precautions. I have visited Africa more than 40 times now, and can say that Kere Island is one my favourite places to go. Hopefully I will be visiting again in 2019..

The place is simply amazing, Sonia and all the team are the best hosts, and I think it's an ideal getaway either for couples, group of friends, and even alone. Food is incredible, the beach and the water perfect, and the whole environment is incredibly relaxing. The rooms are super nice and decorated, very welcoming. Free use of books, pool and ping pong table, hammocks, outside showers, beach loungers, kayaks (you can circumnavigate the island in 10 minutes and reach the island of Carache, where we saw monkeys, in 20 minutes)...

Kere was an amazing surprise a tiny island between 2 of the major islands from the Bijagos, the white sand, clear water in addition to the welcoming staff, all of this make you feel like you are in paradise but also with the super HOME felling.
OOHHHH the Food is amazing. Planing to go back next year.

Hi Jessy, you need to get to Bissau airport (OXB). Flights from Europe are from Paris or Lisbon. From there you are collected and driven to Biombo on the coast - 1 hr, and there a boat will take you to Kere. Depending on the weather this can take 1-2hours. Re pricing, contact Laurant at M'îles Vagues 00 245 96 679 49 65 (you will have do a search for the email address as TA will not allow me to post email or website links in this reply!) Regards Ian
