A great place to start a trip to Ghana. Centrally located and easy walking around the older town areas. Good restaurant with good seafood. Nice outdoor relaxing area where you can take drinks and look out over the sea but no swimming at the adjoining beach. Friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable and cool with a/c. Friendly staff. Quite pricey but...

the service in the restaurant is very slow and the choices for food are quite limited. You have to pre-order your food ,of course this doesn't mean that you have dinner on time. Location is nice with great views to the sea !

I have been to various countries within Africa but this was my first time visiting West Africa. What first caught my interest in staying at Afia Beach Hotel was that the hotel is situated right on the beach. However, to my surprise the beach is in no condition for swimming nor relaxing on. There is trash all over the beach...

The beach down from the hotel was absolutely dirty. The woman at the front desk would not give my Ghanians drivers a discount, I felt a bit taken. This place it much too expensive for what you get. However, the location was perfect. Breakfast was good enough. Air conditioned rooms were a treat.

The only thing that is recommended about this "hotel" is most of the people who work there. Had to change rooms 4x on the first day. Got so tired of moving that finally just said, "Screw it" on the final room - even though the door did not lock from the inside. At night I would just pull a piece...

Whenever we travel to Accra, Ghana - we always stay at the Afia Beach Hotel. We have been staying there for at least 10 years! The most wonderful people work there and they are always ready to provide great service! Plus the location is great - center city!

PROs: The real selling point is the ocean view/ proximity to the ocean. I would stay here again for that experience (despite the littered sand on the beach). The room and grounds were clean. I felt safe. Proximity to Art Center was great for shopping. I also liked having a swipe key card to enter the room and the way...

We live in Accra in a hotel and wondered whether we could move to the Afia beach hotel. I liked the perspective of staying so close to the sea and the location seemed nice as well. I sent them an email asking whether they had a special price for a very long stay, to no avail. My husband sent another...

Nestled on the beach but still near downtown, easy access to airport, too. We often spent our night in Ghana there. Very unique location. Beautiful spot that has modern amenities but still feels Ghanaian. That what I really like best. Good restaurant, nice helpful staff.

Probably the only place in Accra where you can sit next to the beach in a pleasant, green location. Perfect location, good service - my favourite Accra hotel. Prices also exceedingly reasonable for what it is.
