Do not stay here, that's the place to start. We live in a rough african city, travel a lot so aren't picky. However, this hotel is bad! Ethiopian Airlines put us up here for the night after our elected hotel was booked up(resulting in us sitting in the street for and hr and a half while they scrambled). In a nutshell, dark hallways, keys that don't work, bad food, shower broken off the wall hanging out of the shower, no towels (when they arrived they were stained tattered and unclean, no toilet paper, no pillow cases (after3 requests they came, clearly used and not cleaned, I used my shirt as a pillow case), kettle but no tea or coffee available, staff with no masks, sanitizer etc planning with staff completely vague etc etc, I really could go on... and honestly, please note this is from a seasoned African traveler who's spent his life living Africa

Ethiopian Airways uses this hotel for an overnight stopover. The hotel bus was at least 40 minutes late to transfer us. Check in was quick. Room had hot water but no towels or toilet paper. It took about 45 minutes for housekeeping to bring those to the room, at 10pm. We did sleep well. Meals were very unappealing and there wasn’t even any milk for coffee. We just ate fruit for breakfast.

I gave this place 1 star because I needed to do that in order to leave a review and partially for the courtesy the cleaning and host staff showed me. The good: Cleaning and F&B staff were great! Very friendly and attentive. The bad: 1. I was put in a room which was not cleaned prior to my arrival (look at pictures attached) 2. The room had a leaking roof and the it wet my luggage and it's content. (pic attached) 3. I was here as part of the government "quarantine" rules, but the management staff told their cleaning staff to come into my room while I was there (essentially putting them in danger) even though I insisted that they shouldn't come in and that they just change rooms for me 4. The sheets and towels were dirty and stained (pictures attached) 5. The shower head was broken (pict attached) 6. The side lamp was broken (pic attached) and light switch for the main light was not working 7. The food was horrible 8. I stayed in the hotel for 9 days and was charged for 14 and management refused to reimburse me for the nights I DID NOT stay. Giving me some bogus reason while other people in other hotels were able to get their reimbursements The Ugly: When I spoke to management (supervisor or manager of hotel) about reimbursement, she told me the check was written but they are waiting for the owner to sign off on it, and they are on the phone now and that I should wait. After a few minutes of waiting when I didn't hear back from anyone, I decided to call the owner myself. The owner then proceeded to tell me that she understands that it might be my "personality" to persistently ask for reimbursements of money, and that she doesn't understand why I am so adamant [about getting my money] because the money (~300usd) was not a "life changing amount". She then said, if the money is this significant to me it will returned to me but that it is not ready now. This is in contradiction to what the manager told me. The manager said the check was ready and they just need the green light from the owner. Additionally, when I told the owner that her accountant hang up on me while I was talking to him, She basically just called me a lair. She said she is pretty sure he wouldn't do that. It has been a little over 3 months now and still no refund. Turns out, not only is the money a "significant amount" to me, it is a big deal for the hotel as well or even more so to them than I. This is not an ideal place to be during regular times let alone COVID times. Although it is listed as a quarantine hotel, I have seen non-guest come in and out and interact with guests (who have been ordered by government to not interact with the larger population) in very close proximity. I have put in a complaint with EPHI (Ethiopian Public Health Institute) and will continue to follow it. At this point, it is not only about the money, it is also about the principle of it all. If they were not able to refund, they should have said that directly instead of avoiding my calls, telling me they will get back to me and not calling me back for weeks. Overall management staff is very POOR with customer service. They have a thing or 10 to learn from their cleaning and F&B staff when it comes to management of customers. Addis is oversaturated with hotels, there is NO NEED to pay 60usd per night to stay at a place that is not even worthy of one star.

Absolute worst service ever. The staff refused to provide a charger for an internet router leaving us without internet for our 7 day stay. There was only 1 english channel and about 5 other channels. We were told that we would be charged for any calls that we make locally even though that was not advertised. Absolutely not the hotel that we had seen on advertisements. Do not step foot in this hotel as they will not serve you in accordance to the 45$ a day per person that they charge and they will meet all requests with no problem and many phrases of sorts and then they still dont do anything to make a solution to the issue. Terrible service

Had a good time at Mosaic. Close to everything an airport. Would recommend staying here for business. Breakfast was fine, and the quality of the rooms was definitely good. Friendly personnel ready to help all day.
