Biruk B&B was all we were looking for in Addis. Perfectly located, close to the airport and in the heart of modern Addis. Additionally it truly feels like a safe haven in the middle of Addis. This is due to the fact that is privately...More
I found the house and rooms quite cold. I also thought the accommodation a bit overpriced, considering that the facilities are quite basic. I would have liked more information available about the city. The internet generally worked, but it was at times very slow.
This is our second stay at Biruk and I’m sure we will keep coming back. It is a wonderful and homely place with excellent hosts. Nothing was ever too much trouble. As we cant speak Amharic they would often make phone calls for us to...More
My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights while in Addis. The owner picked us up from the airport in the middle of the night. The place itself is cosy and even has a terrace and a small garden where you can stretch your...More

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by sky bus? The airport is 5-8 minute drive from Biruk B & B so very close. Addis is a decent size city and it depends what you want to see and are interested in. The taxi drivers will try to charge at least double what they should so barter the prices. Biruk' owner will pick you up at airport if requested and drop you off. Nearby to Biruk is Garden Court Restaurant/bar which is the best place to eat with great staff. The Red Terror Museum is good place to see, then drive by Meskal Square, maybe go to the traditional shopping area on Churchill Ave for souviners etc. then the Museum to see Lucy the smallest homosapiens replica. Piazza is another good area for wandering. It is a spread out city so you won't have time to cover all of this I wouldn't think. Airport to city is roughly 30-40 mins depending on how heavy traffic is and what day. Hope this helps, Sharon
