A few friends on 6 adventure motorbikes decided to go on a weekend tour through Botswana. We were looking for a funfilled exciting place to stay, and we found it here at Mokolodi Backpackers just outside Gaborone. It is very close to the city, safe, in a quiet neighbourhood. The owner and staff were also very friendly and helpful, making...

Pristine premises and very friendly, polite and helpful staff made our stay to short. Rooms are serviced with clean towels every day. The zoo (pig, peacock , dogs, cats, huge hens, and bird life) gave us a "belong" feeling. The best service from staff ever experienced. The "open Kitchen, with complementary coffee& tea, was well equipped. It is comforting to...

My friends and I had been traveling for about 8 months, 2 of those months having been in the Kalahari Desert of southern Botswana, when we came to Mokolodi Backpackers! It was a place of rest and recovery! The staff was beyond wonder and helpful, especially when we decided to stay an extra night! There is a restaurant on the...

This was a great hostel and conveniently located near the Mokolodi Nature Reserve. Staff were very friendly and polite, plus lots of cool pets to socialize with! Very interesting accommodations that were very clean and authentically African, nice rooms and clean bathrooms. Also had a neat hammock, camping and bonfire areas, as well as a pool. Would definitely stay here...

A lovely, chilled backpackers just outside of Gaborone. Quite difficult to get to if you don't have your own transport, but definitely worth it! The backpackers is located very close to the beautiful Mokolodi nature reserve. Staff were amazingly friendly.

It pains me to leave a negative review of this place because the staff were so nice. We stayed at Mokolodi in June. We were camping and they don't really have a camping area, its just right in the middle of everything. It is also very far from Gaborone if you don't have a vehicle. All the animals are nice...

Dear Pedped, I am indeed sorry to hear about your experience. So many good reviews on staff and owner alike... And then this one. I do not know what went wrong. Nor do I think someone will let the cat out intentionally. And make remarks of that nature… There must be a treble misunderstanding somewhere. Something lost in translation? But...

I was tired of driving and needed a place to stay. I went to some place south of Mokolodi and they were closed. Then I went to the national park. The ranger said don't bother to stay here, go to Mokolodi Backpackers. She called the owner and he gave me directions. I found it without too much trouble and was...
