Stayed here three times during our trip to Southern Africa. Two different rondavals, and a cabin. Lovely place to relax and enjoy the city and plan adventures further afield.

My wife and I (71) are just beginning to plan a trip that we hope will include Ghana, Kenya, Botswana, and S. Africa. Neither of us enjoys the tourist scene - I am a backpacker, she likes small towns, farms, and children. We prefer hostels to hotels and rural areas to cities. We only speak English. If we came to Gaborone and stayed with Mokolodi Backpackers, are there local trails, day-hikes, walking tours, museums, and farms to visit? We do not want any tours or tour guides, but are there any local people that could help us with an itinerary? We are planning our trip for September - October of 2015.
