If you are overlanding they let you camp on their quiet parking lot for free and use all of the hotel facilities. Good warm shower, toilets, WiFi (slow), pool, laundry on pay what you want basis. The very friendly owner even invited us for breakfast. One of the best beaches in Angola and a beautiful lodge.

We went last Sunday with some friends. We waited less than last time before eating (this time only 1.5 hours against 2.5 of previous time). Everything was very average including the bacalhau na telha which I did take. Very hot telha, very oily bacalhau, so oily that all the grease poured down when I had inevitably to put the food... The place definitely needs to works on its service and quality for the prices it charges. The place is set out really nicely, it is a really chilled beach resort with the restaurant made out of wood. We went to the bar to get a caipirinha and for what they charge for one you would expect a properly made one,... More

Situated inside the beech area, this restaurant (and resort) has modern installations and offers a cozy and relaxed ambiance. The restaurant has a diverse and well suited menu, with very tastefull dishes, particularly the lobster. Great choice for a lunch in a beautiful beech.

The rooms are cramped but clean and the grounds are good. The open air restaurant is pleasant but the food is quite lacking in quality. I ordered lobster which one would expect to be both fresh and well prepared as it is a trademark of the area but I was quite disappointed in the size and especially in the fact... More

Like many people, in the weekend I like to runaway from Luanda, and thats what I did. My friends advice me to go to Cabo Ledo, to Carpe Diem. It was the best thing I have done here in Angola. Had a great Lunch, then I went for a stroll to "Praia dos Surfista" a little south of Carpe Diem.... More

Is it bad? No! Is it excellent? No!!! And that's too bad, because it could be! It has all the potential to be perfect. Good beach, good ambiance, excellent facilities: bungalows, bar, pool, a lot of space for children, perfect for families. But the service... leaves much to be desired. People are nice, but... slow and don't seem to have... More

If you are in Luanda you need to getaway and visit Cabo Ledo and than stay at Carpe Diem (always book in advance as they are often full, same as the other accommodations there). I really like Carpe Diem, the way they integrated in the landscape using natural materials, simple yet relaxing decoration, really good vibe, amazing view and beach, excellent... More

We were visiting friends in Angola and came here for the weekend. At around $160 USD for a night was extremely steep, but not out of line compared to Luanda. The rooms are small cabins and are very comfortable, they have a small fridge and AC. However no hot water in the shower is unfortunate. Take a shower in the... More
