We arrived to Singita Sabora after about 30+ hours of traveling. We were very tired and hungry. The staff gave us such a warm welcome the moment we landed and stepped foot on the ground! They prepared a delicious lunch for us and brought it to the room once we landed since they knew we were hungry! The service was more than 5 stars!
There is something about Sabora that is absolutely magical! It has an intimate feeling, and although it’s called a “tented camp”, you truly feel like you are in a home and that every detail of the place was thought of. To the point where in the room you have automatic sensors for light for when you walk around the room in the middle of the night, that way you don’t need to look for the switch. Everything you could think that you want, somebody already thought of it and took care of it so that you have the best of the best experience.
The camp is gorgeous! The interior and exterior design is out of a catalog. I don’t think videos of photos do it’s justice here! You just need to be there to experience the whole thing.
I need to also talk about the food. It is gourmet, every meal is a 5 Michelin star meal. Incredible.
Staying there for 3 nights, we already felt like a family with the staff.
Michael our waiter was just so accommodating to all of our needs with a huge smile on his face. He made sure to set up each and every meal in the most special setting.
Esther and Edward greeted us with open arms to the camp, and we are so thankful for everything they did to make our stay unforgettable.
Our guide Calson was with us from the moment we landed and even continued with us to our next stay at Sasakwa for an additional 3 nights and he was more than just a guide. He brought his positive perspective to life and the safari, and we learned so much from him. He made it his absolute mission to show us everything he can, and we saw all of the big 5 probably within the first 2-3 days :)
We really miss Sebora and the staff and for sure will come back! Thank you SO much!

In short, both lodges (Singita Sabora and Faru Faru) were incredible, different in many ways and similar in the crucial elements of service, food, and wine.

Singita Sabora was undoubtedly the most subtly enchanting, but sophisticated, and superbly stylish lodge we have ever stayed in. Every little piece of furniture, every piece of artwork or amenity, from the place mats and cutlery, to the furnishings and glassware…just immaculate and classy in every way. The service levels were impeccable, from the delightfully friendly management team of Esther, Angel and Victoria, to our super-friendly and efficient waiter Samora and houseman Winyana. The whole team was a true credit to Singita, providing professional, but friendly service, with a delicate but important Tanzanian flare.

Faru Faru was a magnificent complement to our first three days at Sabora, with a completely different vibe, but equally impressive style and accompanied by fabulously friendly service with unforced smiles in abundance. We loved our time at Faru Faru and the lodge is truly blessed with a really superb management team (K, Joyce, and Sinta) and a fantastically welcoming and extremely efficient service team. The confidence and humour brought by our waiter Gendi (accompanied by Rama and Stella) resulted in many long meals in the collection of Faru Faru dining areas. The food was simply sublime, incredibly light and tasty, but class all the way.

Our wine experience was truly special – Dean is an absolute credit to Singita and fulfils his role with expertise and charm. His dedication to the Singita kitchen team, and the manner in which he works with them to provide magnificent wine pairings, is a prime example of what sets Singita apart.

Our wonderful Rafiki (friend) Medard was a Guide of extreme knowledge: wonderfully charming, attentive in every way, and someone who I would highly recommend. Our six days with him were extraordinary in every way, and he was without a doubt a major reason for this trip being one of the greatest experiences of our lives. We had six days in an area that can comfortably be described as Eden (but an Eden with a lot of dead animals, as the predators were enjoying themselves as much as we were!! ). The sightings, and pure abundance of game and birdlife, far exceeded our lofty expectations. The entire Singita Grumeti setting, with views of massive open plains, constantly shifting as the vast herds moved through them, will be a memory we enjoy forever.

We will be back. And we will bring others!!

We arrived at Sabora January 6th 2021 and Godson picked us up and we arrived to the staff welcoming us. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and after lunch headed out to our first game drive. We have all been on several safaris but we were amazed of all the animals we saw s close. Many of the animals were mating and many of the animals had babies. The weather was cooler than I thought it was going to be but we were all prepared with layers and gloves and they had blankets. Godson was so knowledgeable and a great guide. They did an amazing job with the décor in the rooms and throughout the property. We worked out in the gym and I was very impressed with the gym. We will definitely go back to Singita Sabora Tented Camp.

Dear Natalie, Thank you for this lovely feedback. We are thrilled that you had such a wonderful stay with us. I will pass on the lovely compliments to Chef Vanie for all the wonderful meals, it was a such a pleasure to share our passion for food and wine with you . Godson is an asset to our team and we so pleased to hear he was able to hone his knowledge and expert skills to find all these incredible close-up sightings, especially all the Butamtam lion cubs you were able to find – I will certainly share this feedback with him! We are so glad that you appreciated our new interpretation of the tented safari and noticed all the subtle décor details that make this camp truly unique. We look forward to welcoming you back to Sabora again soon. Best regards, Robert and the Sabora family.

As a first safari for my girlfriend and I, this was absolute perfection. Thelocation was amazing surrounded by beautiful views and animals only a stones throw away. We were fortunate enough to have Hassan as our helper within the camp for the week, his service and attention to detail was immaculate, he didn't make us feel like a guest, he made us feel like a family member within the camp, Anything we needed or requested he helped us out. Our guide Kim was essentially a walking encyclopedia, his knowledge of every single animal was outstanding and I now know facts about animals that before this I never knew existed. You can see that still after 23 years of being a guide he has the same enthusiasm and enjoyment as he did on his 1st day. The expereince we both had here is going to be hard to top on future vacations and we will 100% be visiting Singita Sebora again, this venue is a credit to Singita and it's easy to see that the management and all of the workers work tirelessly to ensure that guests have the most amazing time.

Amazing experience. These tents are much more than tents with all the facilities you could wish for. They are set in the plains of the Serengeti and it feels out in the wild. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. It was lovely to be able to sit around the fire and exchange stories with other guests and interact. The restaurant was set up on a deck with open views for as far as the eye can see. Semmy looked after us beautifully and it was great to chat and spend time with Fabio and his wife. A water hole with resident buffalo is not to far away and you do hear animals in the night which was exciting and a genuine insight to the bush life. The spa is also tented but stunning and again open views. We had the best time with Bernard our guide who stayed with us for our full 8days 4 in Sabora and 4 in Sasakwa. The most skilled and knowledgable man with the most genuine heart. We loved every element of this trip. Thank you Sabora.

Surrounded by the Grumeti reserve, we were so close to the animals, and yet felt completely safe - and pampered- during our stay there. Fabulous game drives - our guide Robert provided us with the most intimate animal encounters imaginable. The tents provided glamping at its finest. Trained escorts accompanied us to and from the restaurant and other facilities.

When you stay in these tents on the Tanzanian Serengeti you are not roughing it. This is peak ‘glamping’ at its best! The airconditioned tents are spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked with a variety of spirits, soft drinks, and snacks.

The greater facilities are comprehensive and the food is fantastic. The highlight of our stay was, by far, our incredible safari guide, Musa who we’ve kept in touch with to this day. He was the best at tracking game, and was able to get our private vehicle in the ideal position to see a dramatic gazelle takedown by a family of cheetahs. Absolutely thrilling to see the full power of Nature on display!

You feel like you’re on the edge of the world while still enjoying the finest comforts with a staff that makes the experience truly unforgettable.

Singita Sabora Tented Camp Is truly one of the best properties that I have ever been to. The service was impeccable. The people were incredible. They paid attention to the details. The food was basically Michelin starred.

The property was remodeled a couple of years ago. It is amazing. They are able to combine the feel of the outdoors with luxury.

Our game safaris were also next level. The property is private, so there are very few vehicles. The vehicles are insta worthy and very comfortable. We were able to get right up to animals since the reserve is private. Our guide, Peterlis, might as well have a PhD in zoology... his knowledge and ability to find animals was outstanding. He taught us so much about the wildlife and listened to what we wanted to see. He made our trip special by doing breakfasts and champagne sunset hours in the bush.

My family can not wait to come back. Sabora allowed us to have fun and relax at the same time. We were able to really connect as a family.

Thank you to Peterlis (guide), Grace (manager), Gercon (wait staff), and Sohn (sommelier).... they were amazing.

A+ Outstanding experience. From the moment we arrived, our hosts were gracious and welcoming. Our tour guide, Japhet, was very knowledgeable, friendly and assisted us in seeing loads of animals (Lions, Zebra, Elephants, Baboons, Giraffe, Wildebest, Water Buffalo). Our hostess, Semmy, was always focused on ensuring we ate healthy, but tasty, food and that our tented camp house was well stocked with food and drinks. Edward was very friendly and always assisted us with tasks. Mr Willie kept us safe at night, and Mr Gideon was an outstanding housekeeper. This was a once in a lifetime experience and enhanced by the wonderful staff. We hope to return one day and see more of the beautiful Grumeti region. Thank you again!

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at Sabora, and wish we would have stayed longer. I never write reviews, but this place made a huge impression on me. It was a perfect experience in a perfect setting. Edward, Babs, and Fabio are the managers and they are the kindest and so warm and welcoming. They have an excellent thing going at Sabora. Everyone in this camp anticipates every single need of their guests. Our personal butler was Samora and he was outstanding and made the best early morning lattes and arranged a beautiful sundowners for us. He really made a lasting impression on us. Our guide was Medard and he made our Sabora experience magical. We saw so many animals in our short stay. He treated us like family, and we can’t wait to return. I could go on and on, but all I can say is go, go to this camp and experience excellence in the bush because you won’t be dissatisfied. Make sure you get a massage by Tunu because she does a wonderful job. The Chef Sean Paul is perfection. The food was delicious.
