We stayed at this hotel for a night just as a stop before going on safari. It suits this purpose….it’s a little old (especially the bathroom), but it's currently under renovation. Nevertheless you will enjoy a good night sleep.

Centrally located...convenient when you have business in the central business district. The hotel is currently under renovation but the management has gone out of it's way to make it as comfortable as possible. The food is good but more needs to be done about service. Club floor rooms are great. Enjoyed my stay here...great hotel if you have a short...

Stayed here when it was the Movenpick and enjoyed it then, at the moment the hotel is being refurbished however the staff cannot do enough to assist and genuinely try to make your stay as enjoyable and hassle free as possible. The restaurant is in a marquee or outside, it was fish night when I went and the food was...

Dear Nigel, Thank you for your excellent review. The new Serengeti Restaurant will be completed Mid January and we anticipate the Weekly Wednesday Seafood evening will offer even more variety and excitement. The room renovations will indeed begin sometime next year, very discreetly and with no inconvenience or noise to our in house guests. The bathrooms in particular will be...

The Serena provided excellent support and comfortable stay during a conference based at the hotel -- I thought my room upon check-in was fine, but they insisted on moving me to a nicer one the following day, and they were right -- garden/sea view, larger bed, brighter room. They're renovating some public spaces (the breakfast dining room, for example) so...

You know what it's like... you get a beautiful and well-fitted out building somewhere in Africa but the staff don't understand what customer service is all about. Well this hotel doesn't have that problem. The staff are excellent: receptionists, waiters, chambermaids -- you name it, they're good, friendly, effective. This makes such a refreshing change. The room was great too....

The hotel was comfortable, clean rooms, reasonably sized bathrooms, helpful staff but compared to other hotels in the same price range it seemed overpriced. We paid about $250 dollars per room with breakfast included. The main breakfast restaurant was under renovations so breakfast was served in a big tent. The food variety at breakfast was very good and included continental...
