After 22 hours of travel, a warm and friendly staff greeted me when I checked in at 4am. A quiet room with amenities, including a small refrigerator, was just what I needed. The Hotel Slipway is a local hotel with local shopping, a bank, restaurant and grocery store in the complex and located on the water. Also stayed on my...

We had business to attend to in Masaki, so this was a very convenient place to stay in the area. I was a bit worried about staying at a mall at first, yet the premises turned out to be very quiet, even during the day. We visited both a standard room and an economy room, and apart possibly from the...

My company just started using this hotel for business travel and have never been disappointed. The new section of the hotel is beautiful with a great ocean view. The management and staff are attentive and very professional. Our bartender Angerita is the absolute best at what she does in Dar es Salaam!

My safari operator, Paul Tickner, suggested this hotel because of its location. It is on the Indian Ocean, and has a number of financial institutions, curio shops, a grocery store and several restaurants on the property. Since I needed a hotel to catch up on my sleep before the next leg of my travel, and I needed convenience for currency...

When we arrived, having booked a sea view room for three people online the day before, to find we were given a room over looking the parking lot and the room was small. No third bed. We complained to the reception, did not get much joy till the manager over heard our issues and intervened. She then gave us a...

Good location. Poor service at reception with the exception of one or two or the front office staff. Beatrice was nice. The rest of the staff that we encountered couldn't smile or be polite. Getting change to be able to tip or for taxis was almost impossible. The rooms were small and not particularly nice, and way overpriced, with the...

We used Slipway Hotel as our base in Dar for the second time. We had a family room in which they put an extra bed. With 2 Adults and 2 young kids this worked out really well. The room included a microwave so you can heat up food as you require. Everything you could want is available on site restaurants,...

I moved to this hotel after staying in a really bad one that has been booked by the local partner. So I was happy to find clean bed sheets and a decent room. It is an average hotel, nothing fancy. There shops, travel agent, (that sells 'last minute deals' that you need to book at least one month before :)...
