looks like writers know how to choose hotels. we took room 8 with private shower and shared WC. the room was at the terrace with nice views; really peaceful and clean. did not feel that the neighboorhood was unsafe... would aboslutely come here again

Really nice place to stay, some days it might get a little noisy from the club that's right next to hotel. Choose room 4 you ll get the best view! The owner is really kind and helpful for everything!!

I was looking forward to staying here due to the Burroughs connection, but had to check out right after arriving. The hotel seemed fine, a little run down perhaps, but I found a lot of that in the lower budget places in Morocco. The terrace outside room 8 was spacious and offered a great view. The problem came when my...

El murinia is nothing fancy in terms of features, but the staff is friendly, my room was clean and had a good bathroom, and the price was very reasonable for a hotel in a big Moroccan city. The rooms have an authentic no-frills 1950s look that, for me, contribute more to the character than the beat era photos and letters on...

Main door is locked day and night, you have to ring to get access. The rooms smell very strong like mold and and the water drops from the tabs down the wall. The area around is not the best, and doesnt look safe. (I wouldnt go out alone during night) Because of the smell you have to keep the windows...

El muniria isn't the cheapest place in town. But it's worth the few extra dirhams! Staying at the famous room where junkie was written is a plus. you get your own set of keys of the front door so you can come in at any time! Hot water and a clean room is big plus. didn't have the problem about...

A big and clean room for a reasonable price. Not far from the medina and the Tangier port that it is convenient to move next. (also walkable to the bus station - 20 minutes) Internet was on and off sometimes. What was worse was the noise from the bar next door. Could not sleep peacefully.

El Muniria far surpassed my expectations. It is affordable (Dh250/night), clean and in a convenient location once you find it. The alley way can be a bit dodgy at times, we had a guy follow us and start masturbating, however I'm sure its rare for this to happen! Rooms are cosy and the bed is Mega comfortable! Staff are friendly,...

El Muniria delivers the experience you want. The hotel is basic, clean and very reasonably priced. We paid 250 MD per room per night (around £18). The hotel was chosen for the history and specifically the Burroughs (Naked Lunch) connection. We saw Room 9 where Burroughs lived for two year; although now well furnished, as it's one of the bedrooms...

We chose El Muniria due to its 'beat generation' history, on the oposite side of the street was another hotel, which looks quite same quality but for less money. Muniria is clean, has big teracce on the roof, great ocean view. The street is not so nice after the sunset, during the night there were still some people sleeping on...
