I am not even sure what did go wrong (Maybe we got spoiled during our month in Morocco while staying in some amazing riads, maybe we made mistake trusting "le routard guide" and not doing research before coming, maye it was just ad day for all hotel stuff) but unfortunately this was our worst stay in Morocco. Everything starting from...

We were asked whether we wanted a quiet upstairs room or a suite off the banquet area where there would be a private group with authentic Moroccan singers and dancers. We opted for the latter and what a good choice. We had a dinner table outside our room with ring side view. The group was great. Our suite first class....

Fantastic riad located just inside the walls of the medina. Short walking distance out of medina down to main square where. Riad clean, spacious rooms (our room quite opulent), great breakfast, staff very helpful, swimming pool on rooftop.

We returned to palis didi for the second time this year after Falling in love with the place last summer. There is something really special about this hotel. It has a really rich history and an amazing atmosphere. The staff were great. They were extremely welcoming and friendly and they were there to accommodate our every need. When you walk...

Be very careful when dealing hotels in Morocco as the owners and staff can be very dishonest. I was in a bind and need a place to stay and just happened into the Palais Didi. The place seemed empty, but there were staff members working. I ask if I could see their rooms and they showed me around the place....

We had lunch in the lovely courtyard. End of February was cool and the portable heaters were not useful. We ate with our jackets on. The food was mediocre: 7 starter salads; couscous entree; and orange and grapefruit slices in rosewater for dessert.

Ismail Moulay reportedly fathered 888 children, some of them in this building, which is a small, beautiful, old palace in a perfect location in Meknes. We spent one night, which was all we needed to see the highlights of the city and to visit nearby Volubilis. The food was about the best Moroccan meals we had on our whole trip,...

On entering the hotel we were impressed, especially the rooms. We were the only ones staying which felt strange. The hotel is really catered to groups of day trippers having lunch. The bathtub in my room leaked when showering, I brought this to the attention of the staff but they seemed unmoved.

This guest house which was once a royal residence has a very Moroccan atmosphere and is located in the quiet alleyways of the old Medina in Meknes. We loved the very faithfully restored rooms and suites. Breakfast and dinner were excellent with local dishes served in the lovely courtyard. A small rooftop pool was refreshing after a long day in...

A lovely location and a beauttiful courtyard but we found the decor in the rooms overpowering and old fashioned, it definitely needs an uplift. The breakfastb was extremely basic, not palais standard.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Didi is a descendant of sultan Moulay Sulaiman and grandfather to the present owners. Didi had 4 wives, each of them had her own quarters on the ground floor of what is now referred to as Riad Palais Didi. Today Palais Didi is a real masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship. Restored in the purest Moroccan style, it is organized around a large patio and a nice fountain where you would eventually refresh during the long summer days. ... more   less
