Tucked away down a back street lies a beautiful yet unassuming door. Behind the door lies a pure oasis of effortless chic and tranquility. We were greeted in to Restaurant Oban in the Riad by the most welcoming and friendly waiting staff - our waiter Badr was absolutely

We celebrated here in October and stayed in the Chameau suite for 5 nights. It was simply the most beautiful and perfect place I have stayed in and cannot recommend it highly enough. As has been said in other reviews every single member of staff was kind and attentive but also

Very pleasant stay, French- and English-speaking hospitable staff. Hassan and Yassin at front desk were especially helpful. Waiters are very mindful if your cuisine needs. Try dinner at the courtyard. Vegetarian briouat a hit!

I've been to Marrakech many times, dozens. This is the best experience I've ever had. Amine and his crew (particularly Badr) are sweet, attentive, serviable. The place is fantastic. The food is phenomenal. Seriously compared to overhyped tourist traps like El Fenn, this is

We got to these hotel by chance, and ... what a wonderful surprise! Being where the indoor swimming pool just listening to piano music and having breakfast or a wine was the thing we were in need for. The hotel is very spacious, there are not so many rooms, so you can be

Hi there. Another tip. On the day of arrival, ask the riad to send somebody to wait for you at the medina gates or even the airport. It's impossible to find the riad by yourself, believe me, even with google maps. Another thing. I was travelling with my wife and I recommend not to stay longer than 9 pm in the center or the outskirts of the medina. I travelled through a lot of countries but I have to admit that I felt quite unsafe with her in the medina. Guys stare very inapropriately and once some very young boys even grapped her by the butt eventhough she was dressed according to local social standards. The beauty of the medina and the riad noir d ivoir a worth the bad stomach feeling though and the riads staff will do everything to make you feel safe.

I don't recall any ground floor rooms, but you can definitely email the Riad to find out. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the Riad from the taxi stop, but they will definitely send someone out to meet you/guide you in (as the medina is a maze) and the walk is easy/level and scenic as you're walking through a bit of a bazaar. None of the Riads we stayed in had elevators, so old stairways are likely to be the norm just about anywhere you look.. especially if you're staying in the old quarter/medina.
