What a fantastic place, made more fantastic because of Lisa, Michael (the owners) and the team of people they have working with them to make your stay so special.I've stayed in Marrakech a number of times especailly when i worked out there 10 years ago and this is by far the best place i've stayed. It was a 70th birthday...

A fantastic hidden gem of a Riad. Located in the Medina just near enough to all the main attractions. The owners Michael and Lisa arranged our collection from the airport and Michael was on hand to meet us when we arrived, with a very well articulated and excellent briefing on what was available to do and what to expect. The...

For such an occasion as celebrating a 40th birthday, I really couldn't have asked for better hosts to look after my friends and create such a memorable setting that has left such a strong desire to return and self-indulge once again. Beautiful Riad, and in these days where customer service is lacking, their attention to detail was fabulous. W.x

A lovely, lovely riad in the heart of the Medina. The riad is a haven of tranquilty and is beautifully set out and designed, a reflection of Lisa & Michael's personal taste. The rooms are a good size with each one being unique. What really sets this riad apart is the owners intimate knowledge of Marrakech and their willingness to...

Riad Dar Charkia is a lovely hide-away. The owners are great and made us feel at ease. There was a large group of us celebrating a friends 40th birthday and we had hired the whole Riad. We were treated extremely well and we were treated to a guided tour and advice on bartering. A fantastic feast was prepared for us...

12 of us stayed at Dar Charkia which is situated perfectly in the heart of marrakech, amongst the hustle and bustle. Once inside the riad its a tranquil retreat where you are welcomed by Lisa (who is a fantstic host) and her team. Dar Charkia will arrange outings to spas, taxis and restaurants. We felt very spoilt as Lisa kindly...

The Riad is simply beautiful, with rooms that are thoughtfully decorated for both ambiance and comfort and is in a location that serves both exploring Marrakech and relaxation (wonderful roof top terrace). Lisa, our hostess, was fantastic with great tips and annotated maps about the best places to shop, but was not intrusive and when not needed was not noticed....

Beautifully decorated Riad in a great location. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the whole day. Our Hosts were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble as were the staff. Food in general is quite expensive and choice of eatery is limited to market stalls or restaurants - nothing in between. Budget for more than you expect as...

This riad is well located close to the souk and attractions of the city which are within easy walking distance. The owners, Michael and Lisa, couldn't be kinder, and looked after me wonderfully. The rooms are beautiful and it was like staying in a palace. The riad is quiet and calm, internet available, delicious breakfasts; and dinner should you wish...

We had a fantastic time in Marrakech and it was really made by the hospitality and local advice provided by Lisa & Michael at Dar Charkia. Lisa gave us an excellent run-down of where to go and what to see and I would advise anyone to record the conversation as it is more comprehensive than any guidebook! The rooms are...
