Our receptionists are skilled at answering your pre-booking queries AND everything that can possibly make your stay in Marrakesh a holiday to remember. We will welcome you to our riad as we would friends coming to stay in our home. We have 12 rooms, individually styled. Our riad has a long history of ruin and grandeur, like many old riads, in the middle of the old city of Marrakesh. There is an interesting story behind everything in Morocco. We are perfectly situated at the entrance to the old souk and close to the Djemma el Fna Square. Taxis and transport are just outside our door. We have a swimming pool and hammam, jacuzzi and sun longing rooftop area. We offer practical advice and warm, caring support during your stay. We have a good restaurant onsite - with a delicious breakfast but also open for evening meals - some delicious Moroccan food alongside Italian specials, a local musician and rooftop views. Come stay with us and you will not be disappointed!

We arranged to be picked from the airport by the Dar Anika taxi who was waiting at arrivals for us. We arrived at Dar Anika showed to our fabulous room with rose petals on the bed . The staff were wonderful arranged a gorgeous birthday cake for my husband and I as we were celebrating our birthdays. The Riad was in a perfect location a shop right outside the door in an alley that brought you straight in to the Medina. We really enjoyed the market although be careful at night guys going around with a snake and a monkey in a nappy if u take a photo they will demand money from you can be a bit overwhelming at first when they are all rushing to you to buy something you get use to it. I really enjoyed the souks and the Jewish quarter. We done two day trips an early start on one morning for sunrise in a hot air balloon the high light of my trip truly amazing they organised breakfast when we got down in a tent well worth the 6.30 start. We got a guide on second day Abdul from Marrakech Outdoors a family run business he spoke great English €120 for full day 10 to 7 in eve went to Atlas mountains and waterfall he organised a guide walker to bring us up the mountain (wear comfy runners a tough enough hike but we'll worth it) Abdul organised for us to dine up in mountain with a local family who welcomed us in to their home gave us a tour and cooked the most fabulous meal Marrakech style you really get a true feel for how simple they live on so little makes you appreciate what we have in life. If you are thinking of booking Marrakech go right ahead you will really enjoy the expierence well worth the trip.

Thank you for thinking about us and writing this review. Marrakesh is an interesting place and has so much to offer. If you have the time it is a good idea to venture out of the city to the myriad of other places relatively close by. Each direction offers something completely different; the coast, the mountains, waterfalls, Agafay (a desert-like area 45 minutes from Marrakesh where there are lots of activities like quad bikes, camel riding etc). There is so much to explore. We thank you again for putting your memories into words for this review. We really appreciate it and wish you the best for 2022. Lyanne and all the team at Riad dar Anika

We stayed last weekend for four days and were so happy we picked this Riad. Everything from booking the room to organizing our airport pick up through to having a meal ready for us when we arrived late was just perfect and completely hassle free. The Riad along with others in the group is managed by Lyanne who clearly understands the correct concept of customer satisfaction as she organised everything for us and guided us really well in terms of what to see and where to eat. All her recommendations were spot on and her team were able to organise the guides and drivers for all our trips. They also made sure that we got very good value for money and this in itself was a great bonus for first time travelers to Marrakesh. We stayed in room number 2 which was a great size very comfortable really clean and fresh. We had a look whilst walking by at some of the other rooms which are similar in size and design so you wont be disappointed with any of them. We found all members of the team to be extremely helpful, very warm and welcoming which added to the experience. If you want to see Marrakesh and immerse yourself to understand the culture, pick this Riad as it was a truly wonderful experience and a great credit to Lyanne and her team. The location is one of the best, within walking distance of everything so it makes things very easy to see. We will most certainly return.

It was our pleasure to have you stay with us. I was pleased to read "hassle free" in your review - that is exactly how we hope you feel about your stay. Without a doubt Marrakesh is a delightful place - but there can be some learning experiences that make or break your appreciation of the visit. You do not want to get a headache trying to work out how to spend you time here. Anyone thinking of visiting Marrakesh please come and stay with us. We will welcome you into our place with open arms and your memories will be long remembered. Thanks so much for your review. We appreciate everything about it. We remember you fondly and send our love and care wherever you are. Lyanne and all the team at Dar Anika

Unlike some of the other riads where I stayed, you can see this one from where the cab drops you! But it’s not just the location that I loved about this place. They were so organized helping me get trips and excursions planned. I also used their hammam and massage services ( WOW! Such a great experience) They were also always ready with a cup of tea or fresh squeezed pomegranate juice! This riad will definitely be a place where I will return.

It is always easy to be friendly and helpful to enthusiastic travellers and we were very happy to welcome you to our place. As a single traveller we take special care to make sure our suggestions and companionship suits your taste. Hammam is a very important part of all Moroccan people's life and while ours is slightly adapted and much more private it is the same system. It really does make you look 10 years younger and so very clean (as well as being very relaxing). I know you have a million places in mind to travel to so we hope you always remember your stay with us fondly. Good luck, happiness and grand adventures ahead! Dar Anika has an excellent location just at the edge of the Medina. The manager, an ex-pat from New Zealand is very friendly and helpful. There is a nice deck to relax in the sun in the afternoon. The front desk staff was very efficient. The breakfast was good. The dinner was average at best and the food was not properly heated throughout. Perhaps because we were a bit spoiled by our Riad stay in Fes, the rooms in Dar Anika seemed a bit small a bit dark and over priced. Nonetheless you could not go wrong staying here as the good far outweighs the minor negatives.

Many thanks for your thoughtful review. We can not apologise enough for the mistake with your dinner. This is really awful. As you know our restaurant is closed due to the pandemic and we only make a dinner for guests arriving late, tired and on special request. This is no excuse and we should have be more careful. We appreciate your constructive criticism and thank you for your final recommendation. Riads are old family homes designed around a courtyard. Small windows face inward to help minimise the very hot and dusty summers. Our riad was originally a wealthy olive merchants home and consequently has all the traditional aspects albeit with modern bathrooms and facilities. We hope you always enjoy your travels and that you continue to seek out wonderful adventures. Best wishes always. Lyanne and all the team at Dar Anika

From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed the staff at the Riad dar Anika was incredible! Extremely helpful and attentive without being invasive. The property is absolutely stunning and the location is perfect! It is located just beside one of the gates to the old city which makes it easy to get transport to/from the airport/train station and means you aren't lugging your luggage through crowded cobble stone streets for long. The food was superb and the view from the roof top terraces was beautiful and quite romantic. We also appreciated the quiet areas like the library and the lobby for relaxing, reading, and discussing our excursions of the day. I can't say enough positive things about the riad and the staff! Stay here! You won't regret it!

What a terrific review! Wow wow wow! We don't want to shout out our qualities (that would be too arrogant) - self praise is no praise as my grandmother used to say - but we thank you sincerely for your words. We enjoyed your company and the staff were sad to see you leave. Kindness, gratitude and a sunny disposition are universally applauded. We really do want guests to rest, relax, recharge and have some fun. The past 2 years have taught us all to enjoy what we have and not to take for granted some of life's small pleasures. We hope you put Marrakesh on your to do list again and in the meantime life treats you well. Lyanne and all the team at Riad Dar Anika
