When looking for a riad to book for a 'special birthday' weekend we came across the Riad Meriem. The trip to Marrakesh was to be a surprise for my sister-in-law who is stylish, well travelled and expects only the best. We had therefor to choose our accommodation with care. After viewing the photos on the web site and long chat...

Arriving by taxi to the hotel was a surreal experience, having been dropped in the middle of a square our driver despatched our luggage to a man with a wheelbarrow! We followed through what seemed like caves to reach Riad Meriem a few minutes later! Wow! Absoutely gorgeous hotel, the ambience simply blew me away. Everything about this riad is...

We have just spent a great week in Marrakech at Riad Meriem and would highly recommend for others. The city itself is quite an experience - not big on sights but more than makes up for this with atmosphere. The winding streets of the medina and the night market are quite something. It was also good that whilst there are...

The riad is very well located; in the center of the medina, just 2 min. from the souk entrance. The way to get to the Riad is a labyrinth and may be a little uncomfortable during late hours, especially if you are alone. However inside the place is very warm, quite and nice, a good combination between tradition and modern...

Lovely riad in the middle of the old city in marrekech, the first journey to the riad was interesting but once we had found our feet and sense of direction the alley way that leads to it became part of the experience, even walking back late at night and despite the first impressions, we felt completely safe. We stayed in...

We have just had a stunning stay in Marrakesh at the Riad Meriem. The weather was sadly extremely variable, but while we managed to fit in 2 breakfasts on the sumptuous roof terrace, our lively and charismatic host Cyrus took great care in planning indoor activities for us such as hammams and new town shopping. The fire was constantly lit,...

I should mention early in this review that my husband and I travelled to Riad Meriem back in 2008. I have been meaning to write a review since then, as I wanted other people to be aware of what they might be in for, as we wish we had been before we arrived / booked. I realise there are many...

Central location with good access to hustle and bustle of Medina. Beautifully renovated and peaceful. Excellent unobtrusive service. Cyrus and staff came up trumps with all we asked of them and made the stay memorable. Best food was bespoke meal in riad. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
