Just returned from Dar Doukkala and hardly have the words to decribe how wonderful it was. Philippe, the charming and courteous owner, has renovated this beautiful old house with style. Every room is individual (we managed to peek into most of them) and has character and quirky but luxurious touches. The staff were absolutely delightful. It is on an interesting...

We loved the style of the riad, a complete contrast to the wonderful Dar Hanane. Unfortunately we experienced a service bypass. On arrival we were told to wait in the hall, then shown our room & given our room key. No tour of the riad, no tea, no information, nothing. We were then asked several times when we wanted breakfast,...

stayed in Riyad dukala for a couple of nights Room no 6 and was swept away by everything. Was like staying in a palace , we loved everything about the place, food, ambience, maintenance, decor and not to mention the courteous owner. Would definitely want to go there for longer stay sometime. A not to miss place if staying in...

We stayed at Riad Dar Doukkala for the first 3 days (suite no 3) and the last day (room 4) of our visit in Morocco. It is located quite conveniently in de Medina, close to one of the main roads - easy to take a taxi - and the Place El Fna. The Riad really blew us away. The suite...

After the bustle of a day out in Marrakech the Dar Doukkala is a great place to come back to. We stayed over New year 2007/08 for 6 nights, in room 1 which is at one end of the central courtyard. If you want super cool minimalist design or 5 star hotel luxuries this isn’t for you, but if you...

From the moment we arrived to find dinner prepared for us on a rose strewn table in a secluded alcove in Dar Doukkala's charming courtyard, it was obvious that this was going to be the perfect place to start our honeymoon. With the entire riad to ourselves for the first three of our four nights, we could have sampled most...

Choosing a riad was hard work but I’m glad I was not tempted by the fashionista decor-mag riads. Dar Doukkala’s style is timeless and sumptuous, an art deco inspired riad with lots of detail – the opposite extreme to fainthearted minimalism. The building is on a proper street (not tucked away in a dark alley), 15 minutes to the main...

This was a great riad - very peaceful; large spacious rooms; helpful staff; great food - could not be faulted. Staying here made our stay in Marrakech!

we just returned from a four night stay in this riad.we booked it because of the good reviews and locality.at first,we were a bit weary as the taxi stopped.there was hustle and bustle all around.need not have worried, the riad was only a twenty second walk away.having read some reports, people had to walk the crystal maze to get to their riads.we...

What an amazing place to stay. My husband and I had 4 fantastic nights in this Riad over the christmas period, nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We stayed in suite 3 and it was incredible, from the size of our bed to the fire place to the music selection on...
