A flawless stay in a beautiful hotel, located just a short walk from all the busy streets and attractions in a very quiet area. We stayed for 4 nights in the height of summer and this hotel could not have been more perfect. The rooms, facilities and service were all immaculate and left us wanting to stay longer.

We arrived at the hotel early (before 11am) as we had taken a very early flight the same morning. We received a nice welcome drink and were given a tour of the hotel and its facilities by a very helpful staff member. We were then lucky enough to be able to access our room early. The ‘prestige double’ (seen it described elsewhere as a junior room) that we stayed in was perfect for us - spacious and with a nice sun-trapped terrace that we would probably have used more had it not been so hot. What was exceptional about the room was the service - it was beautifully cleaned and tidied multiple times each day when we were out. The standard of this was higher than you would expect and made for a very comfortable stay. There were no surprise charges, rather generous free toiletries, water, and even wine (which we actually didn’t drink but only as it was so hot and we didn’t feel like red wine at the time). Well-stocked minibar was also reasonably priced.

We chose to dine in the hotel on our first night and were not disappointed. The best part of the Trois Saveurs restaurant is its beautiful setting by the pool with traditional performers and tasteful lighting, however, the food was equally delicious. We had 3 courses and really enjoyed them all (not cheap but hotel restaurants rarely are). Again, the service was flawless. Breakfast is also served by the pool each day and was a real positive - huge range of hot and cold food and available as late as 11am which was useful.

We also made use of the hotel spa, which was a good experience whilst in Morocco. The highlight of the facilities was the country club, however, which really should be emphasised as it is a huge benefit of this hotel. Absolutely beautiful gardens and pool with a restaurant, drinks and service all day long. There are cabanas in the shade and loungers in the sun alike and the shuttle to the hotel and back is free and very convenient. We arranged to spend several hours here which I was very glad of and I would really recommend it.

Beyond all this, however, the thing that really makes this an exceptional hotel is the service. Dinner, breakfast, spa and housekeeping staff were all perfect. Reception staff were consistently helpful with recommendations, reservations, information about the hotel, and more. We felt we could have asked for anything and it would not have been any trouble (all staff also speak English as well as French and Arabic). La Maison Arabe is truly a fantastic hotel. There are other hotels in Marrakech that cost more and will surely not offer anything like this level of service. There has clearly been a careful consideration of how to create a perfect guest experience and this is flawlessly executed. It is no wonder that the hotel is able to advertise numerous accolades as it really is an excellent stay. We hope to return in the future.

Maison Arabe is a magnificent riad located in a strategic area, a stone's throw from the souk and the Medina.
The structure, perfectly managed, accommodates a limited number of rooms, which ensures an always attentive and professional service.
It is a historic residence, perfectly maintained by its owners, an exclusive location and of a sober and refined elegance.
We stayed in the Royal Suite, a beautiful room, on two floors, with a beautiful private terrace, from which you can admire the really suggestive sunsets. A real gem, not at all common in Marrakech.
The staff is always attentive and considerate and welcomes customers with typically Moroccan courtesy and availability.
In short, if you want to spend your stay in an elegant, refined and characteristic structure, Maison Arabe is definitely the right structure.

I decided to pamper myself before going to a corporate event and booked a one-night stay at La Maison Arabe. What a great experience. Nestled in a small alleyway in a narrow derb in the Bab Doukkala district, this former riad in the heart of the Cité Rouge, a 10-minute walk from the famous Place Jamel Fn'a, was first a restaurant founded by two women, mother and daughter, in 1946. In 1998, it was transformed into a luxury boutique hotel under the leadership of a prince, Fabrizio Ruspoli. Then the Cinazaro group took over the hotel.

A discreet entrance in a narrow derb in the Bab Doukkala district, arrival at the Maison Arabe is far from spectacular. It's a far cry from the glitz and glamour of La Mamounia and the ballet of big cars dropping off VIP clients. No, to reach the hotel, you have to be dropped off on the main street some 50 metres away, and then walk the rest of the way through a narrow passage before finally entering the premises. But as soon as you enter the hotel, you are in paradise. I was greeted by a roaring fire and attentive staff.

This riad welcomes you for an exceptional stay in a calm, authentic and refined setting. Everything is designed in traditional Moroccan style, with a modern touch.

Access to my room (261) was only possible after crossing patios, staircases and small niches, as the group Cenizaro (new owner since 2019) has bought several houses to bring them together. My room was small but very well appointed and enough for one person.

The home lighting from the Yahya is stunning. The art of sculpturing light and metalworking is all over the hotel.

The hotel has 2 restaurants and a wonderful piano-jazz bar with a 1930s atmosphere: you expect Bogart to turn up at any moment... I had dinner at the restaurant les 3 Saveurs (you have the choice with Asian, French or Moroccan flavors) and I ended up my evening at the piano bar. Great pianist. i was the only guest and it was a pure delight...

During the afternoon, I went to their rooftop for a sunset cocktail. Woww, what a stunning rooftop space inspired by the blue and yellow colors of the Majorelle Garden.

This hotel is not for those looking for bling bling, but for lovers of hotels with character, lovers of timeless places, and of course couples looking for an intimate address: all will fall under the spell of the Maison Arabe.

My stay at La Maison Arabe was short. It was my first time but will not be the last one. A special mention to the staff. Each member is a true gem.

We booked a prestige suite douiria here as a couple with rooftop terrace and a hot tub for 5 nights . I think this was one of their higher cost rooms and at a cost of about 600 Euros a night was fairly expensive for Marrakech so we expected a lot . The Hotel is not 5 star , or unlike any 5 star hotel we have stayed in before , but maybe rated for Morocco standards. We also stayed in La Mamounia during this trip and agree that is 5 star and will provide a separate review for our stay there .

The good points :

Staff were lovely in all areas , particularly the jazz bar and reception .
The hotel is very clean and well located for access to the Medina .
The beds are very comfortable
The country club is pleasant , but the pool in unheated and freezing cold.
The breakfast had a reasonable selection .

The bad points :

Prices for food in both restaurants we ate in were not good value and of average quality, although some courses were very good , overall rating was very average .
Accommodation charges are not good value at all and totally over priced for what is provided . This is really a 4 star hotel at best .
Reception lost our room key
The hot tub area and small terrace off the bedroom were not very private at this price level. The hot tub is really a bath with a few jets which takes hours to fill , the large sun bed had no cushions and the umbrella was broken.

The very bad points :

For a 5 star hotel charging 600 Euro per night in Morocco we were left with 3 coffee pods total ( 1 1/2 each ) to last for 5 nights . Replacements were chargeable , even though we had paid 5 star prices and spent over 3000 Euro for our room for 5 nights . This policy is beyond madness and something we have never experienced anywhere at this price point .
The hair drier is terrible and the sort of cheap plastic thing you would expect in a 2 star hotel .

We enjoyed our stay here , slept well and would probably return, but not at this price level as the hotel pricing policy doesn’t represent good value at all . I would suggest staying less nights , having a basic room , using other better value restaurants outside and bring your own coffee to this 5 star hotel !!

We stayed at La Maison Arabe in mid August this year and we really couldn't have been happier with our choice of hotel.
The staff are consistently excellent throughout the hotel, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as is the whole hotel, with unique architectural details and excellent air conditioning which was essential as it was generally 42 degrees each afternoon during our stay.
The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied. We ate in the hotel restaurant on a couple of evenings and again the food and service was excellent, the mainly Moroccan wine list was also very good.
We used both the pool in the hotel and also the hotel's country club which was a short journey by courtesy minibus. The country club pool is bigger and is a lovely spot to go to during the afternoon heat. One small criticism is that the air conditioning in the hotel minibus wasn't very effective so it became extremely hot travelling to and from the country club.
La Maison Arabe is in an excellent location to explore Marrakech, it's a short walk to most of the sights in the Medina and also not far to Jardin Majorelle and Gueliz.
La Maison Arabe is definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in for its combination of service, ambience and comfort, we will certainly return.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The beds were very comfortable, the room spacious and the staff so kind and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the live music during supper at the restaurants in the hotel. A big thank you to the chef at the pool side restaurant for gluten free bread and a delicious salad made for me our first evening because I was recovering from traveller's stomach and couldn't eat a large meal. And thank you to the staff in the Lebonese restaurant for inviting us to view the musicians playing up close. We are musicians ourselves so we found it very interesting to watch and listen. The hotel is in a great location to walk to sites and small shops to buy water etc. We would stay here again.

La Maison Arabe in Marrakech is reputedly the oldest and one of the most beautiful riads in Morocco, and it shows. The complex, which stretches over several mansions, is a delight. The room and the beds were very comfortable, but be aware that if your room has a pool view, you will hear the noise (and the music) from the restaurant below until well into the night. The food is mostly Moroccan (which I am not a fan of) but thankfully there were also some international entrees on the menu. The breakfast was less appetizing, mostly because I am limited to continental breakfast, and here the pickings were slim. Also, breakfast did not start until 7:30am, and since most flights leave from Marrakech in the morning, that meant that many people in my party had to depart without having breakfast. I strongly urge the management to start breakfast at 7:00am, which is standard in hotels around the world. Otherwise, this was an excellent stay.

La Maison Arabe is a beautiful hotel with plenty of outdoor space and lots of inviting little snooks and spaces which invite you to grab a book and enjoy some alone time. Its location is perfect for exploring the Medina, but the restaurants, courtyards and swimming pool mean you can happily spend a day here without feeling constrained. The beautiful surroundings would be nothing without the hotel's wonderful staff. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the cheery room staff, they are all well trained and friendly people who will certainly go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. A special shout out to Ismail the concierge who gave us excellent suggestions of restaurants and ensured one of our party, who was ill, was well looked after in our absence. We loved the place and we will be back.

From the friendly greeting on arrival, the guided tour of the facilities, the beautiful cool mint and ginger drink on a very hot day was a statement that you were welcome and would be well cared for. The a la carte dinner is a must, with knowledgeable staff eager to ensure that you enjoy your dinner and any dietary requirements are fully met. The breakfast buffet caters for all tastes while dining alongside the pool and gardens. The rooms are luxurious with comfortable beds, sitting area, balcony (for us overlooking the pool) and well appointed en-suite. The staff were amazing and helpful at all times. This is definitely the place to stay in Marrakech and behind the walls of the Riad it is peaceful and quiet, with no indication of the bustling city noises.

The grounds are meticulously maintained and every part of the hotel feels homey yet chic. The staff go above and beyond at every interaction. The staff were just genuinely friendly people who wanted you to have a good time. Our room was stunning and comfortable. The location of the hotel is just close enough to the souks that it's a short walk (10-15 minutes to the central part of the medina) but just far enough that it is quiet. We felt very safe here as there was a guard outside 24/7. We also visited other riads as well as a couple hotels (Royal Mansour, La Mamounia). None of the other riad's came close to La Maison Arabe, and while the hotels I mentioned were luxurious, they lacked the home feeling that La Maison Arabe gives. Definitely worth it!
