The Movenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech is often celebrated for its tranquil atmosphere and beautifully decorated spaces, providing a serene experience. Many guests praise the hotel's amenities, including the pool and spa, but note that service can be hit or miss, with instances of both attentiveness and disorganization. While the hotel's cleanliness generally receives high marks, the value for money has garnered mixed reviews, particularly regarding room comfort.
The location is widely appreciated for its convenience, though some guests suggest it's not ideal for Medina visits. Spacious rooms are a highlight, despite occasional noise and maintenance issues.

The raw exterior architecture contrasts with the design and refinement of the interior spaces of this magnificent Pension which is well worth its 5 stars. The staff is very kind and dedicated (special mention to Anas at the pool). The outdoor areas are superb, green and very well maintained and offer relaxing areas with new sunbathing and umbrellas around the three pools (There are two main pools and a zen pool in front of the spa entrance). The large swimming pool is heated to 26° from January to April. Buildings with modern Moorish architecture offer very modern and comfortable rooms with balconies (or terraces for suites). There is, in the entrance, a large storage space with safe, table and iron, a separate toilet and a bathroom all in black marble veined with white. The air-conditioned bedroom has a TV with some French channels and a small silent fridge.
As for the restaurant, the breakfast buffet offers many local and international dishes, it is good and hearty! The Pension's restaurants are very different from each other and rather expensive. At lunchtime, the Manso bar, next to the large swimming pool offers a snack menu, that of the oval pool, Jamra, dietary dishes and in the evening, 3 restaurants are open: - Saray (the Breakfast Self) offers a poor buffet half as full as breakfast for 35€/pers... - The Dahbi, Kasher restaurant with a very intimate atmosphere located behind the El Mehdi building (left on the way out). Marcelona, gourmet restaurant of the Spanish chef Jesus Nino (not tested).
Fortunately, we discovered the MFF (Marrakech Fine Food), a tea/pastry/shop in the same building as the Pension that offers delicious and very affordable salads, sandwiches and cakes.
A hundred meters from the Inn, M Avenue, a brand new luxury shopping center with many shops and restaurants of different themes. Favourite for the "Douar", panoramic terrace above the Meyden Cultural Centre.
The Movenpick Inn is connected to the convention centre and hosts trade fair events. During our stay, the main pool was privatized for an event and was not accessible to Inn guests for 3 days without prior review... This is not correct for customers who have paid for a service without being able to enjoy it during their stay.
Pension Movenpick is an oasis of relaxation near the bubbling center of Marrakech, I recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and simply loved it. It has a wow factor upon entering what with posh cars parked at the driveway.
The hotel reception was big and spacious and very well decorated. We took a walk around the hotel and was very impressed with the well kept gardens and though it was.crowded with guests it did not feel overwhelming. The heated swimming pool was very popular with the guests and so the spa too as we couldn’t get a timeslot for both nights that we stayed so best to book in advance before arrival .
The rooms were big and we had a room on the ground floor that can open up to the terrqce with a garden setting - very relaxing to sit outside after a long day !
We spotted some rabbits and a peacock roaming around the premise and it was a beautiful sight. There were lavender plants grown in the gardens and we can smell the freshness as we walked by.
We had the buffet dinner on both nights and the quality of food was good and more than adequate. Same for the breakfast with its delicious pastries and breads.
There was a mini chocolate party close to the hotel reception area in the evenings and it was divine. So are the mint tea and biscuits served nearby. Do take note of the timings and be there !
Overall it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at the hotel- very highly recommended !

Dear Mwen, Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciated the hotel's "wow factor" from the moment you arrived. It’s great to know that you found our gardens well-kept and the atmosphere relaxing despite the number of guests. We’re pleased that you enjoyed your room and the peaceful garden setting it provided. It’s also wonderful to hear that you had a positive experience with our dining options and the mini chocolate party. The fresh lavender and the sight of the peacock and rabbits are indeed special touches that we love to share with our guests. We apologize that the spa was fully booked during your stay and appreciate your advice to book in advance. Your feedback is invaluable and will help us to improve our services further. Thank you for recommending our hotel so highly, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable stay! Warm regards, Anas Kasmaoui Guest Relations Manager

Very good hotel. Six restaurants and bars. Unbeatable service. Spacious and beautiful decoration. Correct room and large bathroom. Very fast room service, except one day, there were three of us and there were only two sets of towels, we requested one more and they brought several immediately. Outdoor heated pool. Abundant breakfast although partly focused on local cuisine, hummus, etc. There were no scrambled eggs but they made live pancakes. Much fruit. Problem with coffee machines, one day out of six there were four broken, and a problem at breakfast when there are many guests although they always find a place for you. Air conditioning regulation does not work well, turn it off or on but the desired temperature is achieved. In short, recommended.

1. The room is not properly built to protect it from smoke. Not good for the family. 2. Somehow the waiting staff at the restaurant serve the caucacian customers and caucacian customers only. This might be based on no tip mannered other populations visiting this hotel but just looking at the waiters pouring teas and bringing coffees to the caucasian customers but not to Black and Asian customers is simply repulsive - and very visible. 3. The room towels are recycled instead of replaced daily. You will get them replaced only after you complain about it. 4. Water - 2 water bottles per day, supposedly. But it will be left as is even if a bottle has a trickle of water left. I guess they consider that a bottle with water left and count it into "2." 5. Taxi - we all know it is big haggle in Marrakech. But they don't bother to guide or bring the taxi in to the hotel property. Instead, point figer at the area where the taxis are and tell you to go figure - again, this was not for the caucasian custoers. 6. Vanity - whether you open and use the cotton stick or not, if it is not completely used up, it is I guess considered as 1 still there, so they will never re-stock it until you complain about it. 7. The bathroom doors are not correctly hinged. We used 2 rooms next to each other as a "family room," but both rooms have incorrectly figured hinges and the doors cannot be closed completely. Frustrating, least to say, for our teenage daughter.
Overall, this is far from 5-star hotel. I would have booked Sofitel or other hotels in the area that are closed to the must-visits instead of this one that is in the middle of nowhere. We had to spend 100DH per each way for taxi everytime we go somewhere from the hotel, while Sofitel, Novotel or many other hotels are within walking distance from those attractions.
I will supplement my reviews once I get back to the States. For now, this is what I can remember.
Overall, this is far from 5 star hotel.

Dear ryu720, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We genuinely appreciate the time you took to outline your experience. We are deeply sorry to hear that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Your comments are extremely valuable to us, as they help us identify areas where we can improve our services. Please allow us to address your concerns: We sincerely apologize for any discomfort caused by the room's air quality. We will review our room setups to ensure all rooms meet the necessary standards for comfort and ventilation. We would like to inform you that we treat all our guests equally. At breakfast, we offer an open buffet, and all you need to do is ask our staff for assistance, and they will be happy to help. We regret the inconvenience you experienced with towel replacements. This is certainly not the standard we aim for, and we will ensure that towels are replaced consistently for all guests without needing to ask. We will ensure that the staff is more attentive in fulfilling this request, regardless of the quantity left. We understand the importance of providing clear guidance and assistance; however, taxis are not permitted to park in front of the hotel, so they cannot block access. Please note that doors are in good working condition. We understand your disappointment, and we truly value your feedback as it helps us enhance our services. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with the experience that you deserve. Best regards, Anas Kasmaoui Guest Relations Manager

A truly awful experience! I stayed here with my friend who arrived separately to me. On arrival I was told I needed to pay the total amount of £600, up front, not realising that my friend who is an Accor member, had already settled prior to arriving. Once we discovered the mistake, we reported it and were told that no mistake had been made. The next day we met with the manager who apologised and assured us that one of us would be refunded within 7 days. Its is now 3 weeks later and we have received nothing, despite multiple follow up emails in which we’ve been told ‘the money is on its way! We were even asked to pay a third time upon checkout!!!! Additionally, a couple of nights into our stay, we got home from dinner and could smell burning throughout our floor. Please see photos of the vacuum that had clearly caught fire at the socket and had just been left. I went straight to reception to report and no one seemed to know what I was talking about or care. What is more concerning than the faulty electrics, is that no smoke or fire alarm had been triggered by it. The issue was resolved by them closing the door to the room with the charred socket! Further to the above I have also attached further photos of the poor quality of service - Coffee and tea station not replenished, on arrival there were empty coffee sachets just left and no bottles of water No hand soap in the bathroom dispenser for days The carpet was full of hair and had clearly not been vacuumed for a long time Housekeeping only ever half made the beds One bathrobe and one drinking glass for 2 people We waited in a queue of people for 15 mins to get a towel for around the pool Once round the pool no one came to take a drinks or food order Rude unhelpful staff The only one positive was a decent gym I am still waiting for my £600 back for a stay that was not worth even half of that. If you want a true experience of Marrakech that offers quality service and a beautiful clean environment, stay in one of the 5 star riads instead, you will only regret staying here.

From the check-in process, the staff seemed very disorganized, although they were courteous. The whole hotel looked old/aged and needs a general refurbishment from the spa facilities to the room I was staying in. I called room service several times over my 3 nights stay for different requests (refilling of shower gel, request for iron to the room etc.) which either took a very long time to arrive or never arrived.
What I am most unhappy and disappointed about is that fact that the front desk firstly decided to take a MAD 21,000 security deposit from my credit card on arrival without informing me of the amount prior to attempting to debit me. I had assumed they would pass a charge for the room balance for my non-refundable booking, and it was only after entering my pin and when additional authentication was required, that I realized and challenged this. It was only at this point that I was offered the choice of paying for any amenities on demand or keeping a hold on my card. Following this, on departure and after settling all my bills, I was told that the hold on my credit card had been released but this does not appear to be the case as the hold is still reflecting on my card after over 2weeks. I have called several times requesting to speak to the reservations and reception teams, but people either don't pick up the phone, drop the phone after it rings for some time, tell me they are busy, or that they will investigate without obtaining adequate information from me to look in to the issue and contact me back. One lady asked that I call the following day and ask for Mr. Abdoulate, but I have not able to get in touch with him or anyone else competent enough to help. It feels like no one wants to take responsibility for resolving it.
The only reason why Movenpick is getting 2 stars is because they provided early check-in as requested. And also because the staff at the poolside restaurant were attentive and the food specifically by the poolside was decent. I tried the free breakfast buffet only once, but the quality and spread was really poor, so I decided not to go back and chose to eat early lunches by the poolside which came at an additional cost.

Very friendly welcome from Aumaina Farmouss and Lamia. who gives a very positive First Impression. They understood that I needed rest during my stay. They positioned us in a quiet room, close to the pool only adult (extremely quiet). Breakfast is just exceptional (sweet, savoury, cold, hot... everything is present) all served on a shaded terrace just right. Thank you to Sami who was in the care every day, at every breakfast. Only flat the concierge could not organize an event (cake or room decor) for my husband's birthday, Too bad.! Pay attention to the fare charged by taxis in front of the Pension. prefer to pick up the taxi 2 minutes walk on the boulevard: fare to Jemaa El fna Square: 20Dh max during the day, and 30Dh max after 8pm. In front of the Inn taxis ask you between 50 and 100 Dh

Little feedback regarding our stay at the Movenpick Marrakech hotel. I don’t usually leave a message, but I have to admit that this time it seems necessary because highly deserved. So from my free will I would like to give you a feedback on our stay so satisfied we were. Regarding the room, it was spacious, clean, and it was nice to be offered bottles of water. As for the hotel, it is very large, beautiful, the common rooms are scented with an intoxicating scent that will certainly be missed. The pools are pleasant to see but also to swim in. Best for last: We would like to thank all the staff, all specialties combined for the kindness, politeness, smiles, welcome and kindness. Special mentions for those people who made our stay so wonderful. First Yahya at the reception. He was attentive, accommodating, available with incredible kindness. Then we would like to thank Yassin for breakfast. I had seen glowing comments about him but they are far from up to the person. A kindness every day, a caring man, who remembers your preferences to be at the small care when necessary. He made every breakfast unique. Anwar's turn at the Manso Bar. An incredibly nice, polite, helpful and really very smiling waiter. Many thanks to our private driver Mohamed sent by the concierge during our excursion. He made this day unforgettable. Finally a big thank you to Abdelmoula and Mounir de la Luggagerie for their impeccable service and patience. The staff’s attitude greatly contributes to the prestige of this hotel and it is thanks to their professionalism that the Movenpick’s reputation will continue. Dear readers, I guarantee you that you can trust them.

In July, I had the opportunity to stay at the Movenpick Marrakech and I was extremely satisfied with my time. When I first arrived on the 15th, I was welcomed by Oumaima Farlouss, she works at the Movenpick GR department, she helped me with my check-in as well as my room upgrade. I was would like to thank her and commend her for her amazing work ethic and professionalism.
During my stay, I was taken care of by Laila and Walid. They both worked at the restaurant during breakfast time. They were both always happy to help, as well as Laila who was very caring and always there to welcome me and bring me Moroccan tea, as well as my usual breakfast. Laila and Walid were both amazing! I’d like to also immensely thank Anas who was helping me out with everything in the pool side wether it is my comfort and orders. He was always happy to help me and was extremely kind, respectful and professional!
I decided to extend my stay and interacted with Oumaima Baallal who assisted me with my inquiry and made sure to explain to me the different steps that had to be taken in order to extend my stay at the Movenpick. She handled my request with so much professionalism, was very patient and made sure that I didn’t lack anything which was very appreciated and kind of her! Not to forget Mohamed Timane who always welcomed me with tea whenever I passed by the reception.
I will definitely come back very soon! I very much enjoyed my time and stay in Marrakech and all thanks to Movenpick who made my stay 10x better!
I am sending my support and gratitude to Movenpick’s friendly staff who assisted me during these past 7days!

I stayed 3 nights. Thanks to all the staff from reception to the restaurant and the cleaning staff. I was treated very well. Special thanks go to Ms. Oumaima Farnousse. I am an Accor Gold customer and she looked after me excellently. There was an excellent room and great attention to the room. She works with foresight and does everything she can to make the guest feel welcome. Another thank you goes to Ms. Bahija from the restaurant. She welcomed me very warmly in the morning. All the staff were just very friendly. I come from Germany and can say that I don't know this kind of hospitality from my country. In Germany I even often have the feeling that I have to apologize to the hotel for disturbing them. The entire hotel is extremely clean. The location is fantastic and directly accessible to most of the sights.
Make sure that if you take a taxi and say to the Mövenpick Hotel, you agree on a price beforehand or the driver should turn on the taxi meter.
I wish all the staff good health.
Goodbye!
