We have just returned from yet another wonderful weeks stay in one of the stunning Selman Private Riads. These are literally bubbles of calm where you can recharge without leaving the house or privacy of your pool and gardens. To compliment this wonderful environment is a team of butlers led by the ever smiling Driss, who are without doubt the icing on the cake. Professional, discreet and always happy to ensure your stay is how you want it to be. Our thanks to Driss and his team. The hotel itself is a remarkable place with various parts to keep you entertained should you wish to venture out of your bubble. The staff are all really friendly and interested in meeting you. Thanks Team Selman. Mr Nick :).

We are currently staying at the exceptional Selman. This 5* hotel more than lives up to its rating - it is stunning, the bedrooms are well-equipped and luxurious, and the staff are outstanding and have, so far, provided us with a 6* level of service. We have decided to eat at the hotel in the evenings and are enjoying really delicious, top class meals, served by the friendly and helpful staff who simply cannot do enough for their guests. Big shout out to Zime and Karim from the restaurant who are amazingly obliging and superb at their jobs. This is our first stay at the Selman and it definitely won’t be the last!

Room Tip: The hotel is a distance from the city so be prepared to take taxis in and out as it’s much to far...

Selman has frequently been referred to as a boutique hotel. It is not. It's so much more. It's an actual resort destination. We booked the hotel for my 40th birthday knowing the hotel is beautiful as expected for a 5 star hotel. But honestly, the photos don't do this place justice. It is AMAZING. Everyone of my guests is planning a trip back. Every single one of them. There are too many things to list. The staff is amazing. ALL THE STAFF! From leadership who welcomed us personally to the pool attendant and restaurant staff. The facilities are modern, the decor is HEAVENLY!!! As an interior designer, it was the icing on the cake. The attention to detail is beyond. We arrived to welcome drinks in the beautiful hotel lobby and were shortly escorted to our rooms. I booked a suite which overlooked the pool. Breakfast was at the pavillon and is very delicious. There are horses all around the facility including Arabian show horses in the stable. On my last day, we were upgraded from our suite to a villa which I'm definitely going to book on my next trip. The entire experience was surreal. You have to visit to experience it. There are just too many things to list. It was a fantasy. Thank you to Mme Hikmat and Mr Benmessaoud especially and I would be thanking them directly. I have stayed at several 5 star facilities from South Africa to Thailand. Selman has exceeded all my experiences. Thank you! THANK YOU! I HIGHLY recommend Selman for an out of this world experience. There's no other way to do Marrakech.

What sold me on booking this property vs. the many other beautiful properties in Marrakech was the on site Arabian Stud Farm, but once we arrived it became clear that this property is amazing on fronts. The design of each space, the rooms, the bedding, the massive pool in the main area, the service from all of the staff....we just could not give enough praise. The restaurants serve terrific food, Moroccan specialties and some international options. Just wow all around. I would recommend a "Signature" breakfast or lunch where there is a special meal set up for you and some of the beautiful Arabian horses and taken out for your viewing pleasure. We did a breakfast and were glad we did. The breakfast was amazing, the horses were amazing and the service provided by Kamal and Driss was just next level. They truly made us feel like friends and not just guests of the hotel. They even took time to show us around the gorgeous villas. We've stayed at many , many hotels all over the world and it's not often to be left with that feeling. Thanks to Kamal and Driss for making an already special experience, even better. Our concierge was named Lamya and she was also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. She went above and beyond. She not only helped us with dining options, site seeing while staying at Selman, but she even continued to be helpful beyond our stay here. Many, many thanks to Lamya as well. We hope to have the opportunity to come back to Selman Marrakech soon.

My wife and I recently stayed at Selman the beginning of April and we had a truly memorable stay and experience. The level of service and attention to detail by all staff was remarkable. Our Client Relations Manager Ali helped us plan and organize all of our activities over the weekend. She checked in with us regularly to ensure our stay was comfortable and we were getting everything we needed. We had a private dinner which was an unbelievable experience thanks to our great host Omar who provided an exceptional dinner service but also showcased all the horses, answered questions and took some great pictures of us. Thank you Omar And chef Jaffar for the great dinner! I don’t recall specific names but the pool staff were constantly bringing us cold water, Ice, adjusting our umbrellas and checking in to see if we needed anything. We had a great time enjoying the pool area and day beds both days. We also did the Sunday brunch, which I would also highly recommend. Ali saved us a great table with a perfect view of the show and Majda as usual gave us attentive and immaculate service. Chef Jaffar also walked me through the expensive menu and shared personal favourites. There were so many options that I couldn’t possibly try everything but I did enjoy the grilled lobster and the massive oysters from Dakla. We did a Hammam and massage combo as well and found them both to be rather good. My only critique of the entire hotel was with the relaxation area that they setup here. It’s open to the main reception hall and so you end up hearing the chit chat from reception and other noises which doesn’t make for the best experience. We had someone getting a tour at the same time and they were talking and laughing like they were at a fair. Not ideal. Our room was spacious and stocked with everything that you could need. The few times that we did call room service for something we were surprised that someone was at our door within 60 seconds. Really great service. Breakfast had ample variety so you could try it for a few days without having to eat the same thing twice. I personally liked their homemade yogurt. I could not have asked for a better stay and will more than likely go back in the near future.
