The resort is based on the outskirts of Marrakech, about a 20 minute drive from the old and new city.  We traveled in off season so some of the information provided may not be as relevant if you travel in peak season.
The resort clearly takes pride in the appearance of the resort which despite being in the desert is very green and has daily landscape maintenance.  They also grow some of their own food on site which you can see being harvested whilst lounging at the pool.
The people who clean the rooms also do an excellent job and probably don't get enough praise and attention.

The location is fairly remote but this will be the case with most all inclusives due to the space needed. There is a shuttle bus that  takes you to the old city with the latest time being 1800hr departure with a 2100hr return. There are also tours you can do with hotel affiliates which include travel to and from.  Language wise the resort is mainly occupied by French guests but staff do also speak English and we personally never had any issues with communication.

Meal times at the buffet are set with breakfast being 0700 to 1030, lunch  1200 to 1500 and dinner 1900 to 2300hrs with separate themes each night. Generally there is a lot of variety. We had one vegetarian in our group who noted there was no issues with finding food but noted there was no specific labeling so they ended up having to ask a lot of the time. There is also a small bar that opens between meals that provides snacks.
There are two main bars one inside by the pool and another much quieter one by reception. There was a range of both alcoholic and non alcohol drinks. The all inclusive aspect ends at 2300hrs but drinks can be brought after this time.

In relation to activities there is a full schedule for which can be found on the information  board. Be prepared to be asked by the activities staff several times about joining, generally though if you give a clear no thank you they will move on. I can't comment on the kids club as it was off season and only saw a handful of children during our stay. Each night at 2200hrs there is a show put on by staff in the theatre with changes theme each night. During our time we did not have any issues with accessing sunbeds by pool.

The gym is small but has all the basics and was never massively busy when we were there and the spa provides all the usual treatments and whilst pricey for Marrakech is cheap by English standards. Prices for the spa can be found via the website link they give you when you check in.

In conclusion I can't fault the holiday, if you are looking to mainly relax and are not as focused on sight seeing then this is a very good choice.

Hotel's Favourite

Just returned from a couples 9 night stay, the hotel is immaculate and the staff can not do enough for you, i never never visited a hotel with such helpful staff. Andrea(Sara as the other staff call her) was so lovely, always checking in with us and generally interested to know what we had been up to with our day alongside chit chat!
The gym is small but has all the essential equipment you would need, if a gym goer I would not suggest going any later than 7am(when it opens) as it gets pretty warm in there but they have.
They have an extensive cocktail menu but the drinks in the indoor bar are ten times better than the outdoor ones and are made like actual cocktails should be by the lovely bar tender who is fab and makes the best cocktails!
Breakfast is mainly continental with toast, fruit, omelettes etc and obviously you won’t find any bacon or sausages so don’t expect a full English if that’s what you love, have a lot to choose from and yummy fruits/yogurts. There is a very large selection of food to choose from at lunch and dinner but the majority lovely Moroccan foods that are super tasty and plus it’s good to be cultured when visiting another country that is not like ours, there are some chips and nuggets for the kids including loads of amazing dessert to pick from. Although they had a few trays that stayed vegetarian I did find it hard to figure out what was meatless and what wasn’t as there was other stuff scattered around that was clearly vegetarian then stuff you was not sure about(not vegetarian but a picky eater who only eats certain meat) and hard to know what was in the dishes so it would of been handy to know that as I felt I would of tried more dishes having known a brief of them.
There is a pizza place near the restaurant and outdoor bar that we didn’t know about until we came on here but I’m glad we did because they are stone baked pizzas and to die for but again they could have been more explanatory on that.
We ate in the on site Moroccan restaurant one night and unfortunately I really did not rate it at all, the setting was lovely but the food was not great so I would recommend sticking to the canteen as it has all the lovely Moroccan foods in there.
The entertainment is really good and the staff do try get you involved of course but they aren’t pushy or intrusive in the slightest, all very great at their jobs and I did aqua aerobics a lot that was very fun!
Our room did have a terrace/balcony however everyone else we got chatting to didn’t have one but I actually requested one before hand so might be worth it if you wish for one.
The shuttle bus was super handy for heading out. We got warned that many people try to help you when stepping off the bus that don’t work for the hotel and then ask for money when helped but we only experienced this one and just politely said no thank you and they simply moved on to the next person. The hotel is in the middle of no where so the shuttle bus is needed to get around and just as long as you are aware of the poverty of the city and can look beyond it there will be no issues, it’s vibrant and a change of scenery. Just be cautious as anyone would be in any large city and if you love animals as us English do just be aware that there is a lot of malnourished ones in the media market square.
We did the excursion with the hotel tour company of the city however they didn’t tell us the souks were closed because of the holiday so it just seemed they wanted our money and did not care however the fab tour guide Abdula gave us so much interesting history and information on the city/country but if you are looking for a tour guide to the souks I would not recommend as it does not do what it says on the tin but when we did go through the 5 souks that were open they did not pester us as we were with Abdula and it was nice to get a feel for it before we headed back alone.
We visited the spa(so cheap in comparison to ours)I got my nails done by Aya who was great and so talented at her job then I got a massage that was so relaxing!
All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and visiting this country!

Dear foodiewalker123, On behalf of the entire Sol Oasis Marrakech team, THANK YOU for your wonderful, great and so detailed feedback! We are happy and proud to know that our efforts to give you the best experience have paid off. All the staff, especially the Gex department (Andrea), the F&B, the kitchen, the housekeeping, the Spa and the entertainment will be delighted to read this review which is the reward for their quality of service. Furthermore, your suggestions were duly noted and shared with the relevant departments. Not all our rooms have balconies and the ones with balconies or terraces are allocated according the availability. Yes the hotel is at around 10 Km form the city but we offer a free shuttle bus during day to take our guests to and from the Medina. Our Vegetarian station at the buffet is only vegetarian. It was implemented to help our guests with food restrictions although you can find more dishes all over the buffet. Also, and since it is a serious matter for us, we encourage all our guests with specific diets to introduce themselves to the Restautaurant Manager and/or the Head chef in order to be well assisted during the whole stay. We really all hope to welcome you back very soon. Thanks for choosing and recommending Sol Oasis Marrakech. Warmest regards. Rachida Arifi / Guest Experience Manager

Extremely clean hotel everywhere is washed down every morning Rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. All staff were amazing and helpful. Also there were some really good evening entertainment and day entertainment.
Food was plenty of choice but did get a little repetitive last day or two in main restaurant as were lunch and breakfast.
Pizza was lovely and was made fresh to order, there were burgers outside but they were ready made and cold think they should be offered hot and fresh would have been so much nicer and also the tapas was lovely at the Spanish tapas restaurant 1 free vist although did have to pay for the larger and wine i had a larger which was around £5 a bottle so grab a larger or wine at the bar before you go down there that's my tip!
Also another tip is be careful when you venture out of hotel the hotel provides a free service into the marrakech Town centre! As soon as you arrive and get out of the minibus taxi drivers will tell you come with me il show you the best places where to buy il beable to get you best deals please don't fall for it you end up in shops you don't want to really go into the taxi drivers charge you £20 then they get commission taking you to the back street shops then they try and get you to pay for excursions camel ride etc Please be careful.
Thank you sol oasis for a lovely holiday.

Private transfer to the hotel on arrival there is a man checking reservation before entering the hotel.
The receptionist(Ilias and Hind) were very friendly and a porter guy to take you to your room. The hotel is spacious however be prepared for walking and steps. The room was a family room clean and spacious however the view was not nice. It faced the fence with tall bushes in front and around the balcony. Room needs a better lock on the bathroom and be careful that young kids don't lock themselves inside. The biggest issue is ants in the room and no dryer rack on the balcony.

Big let down for this hotel is the lack of umbrellas especially around the kids pool which is really needed. The snack bar is also cold food not even chips. There is also only one pool bar and its abit of a walk from the kids pool. The other bar is inside(lobby bar) the actual hotel where there is hardly anyone by the time you walk back I'm sure your drink is finished.

The lobby bar drinks are much better as I found at the pool bar if you don't know your drink you could end up with a different alcohol e.g gin instead of vodka being poured inside.
Breakfast is the worse no baked beans or sausage it's full of cake pastry and cheese. Probably the worse breakfast I've experienced.

The location of the hotel is in the middle of nowhere however they have a free shuttle which you book to the city.
Plus side is there is no race for putting towels down in the morning which is what you call a holiday.

There are many activities during the day and it's well planned out the entertainment is also not bad.
This is also the first hotel without any courtesy shower room we evnded up paying for late check out till 4pm. They have a spa and indoor pool but this is not included.

Foam party was below standard apparently the machine had no more foam. It was on for like 3mins.

Cleaner Zainab needs a pay rise
Waitress Fatima and Ali very attentive.
Mohsine probably the best bar staff who is mostly in the lobby bar. If you want proper cocktails go to him.

Overall
I wouldn't return to this hotel unfortunately just to many negative points

Dear DB90s, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate it. We're thrilled to hear that our team members, including Ilias, Hind, Zainab, Fatima, and Ali, made a positive impact on your visit, reflecting our commitment to friendly and attentive service. And it's delightful to know that Mohsine at the lobby bar crafted cocktails that made your evenings more enjoyable. It's wonderful that the range of activities and entertainment brought joy to your stay, truly capturing the essence of our Sol Tribe spirit. We regret to hear that certain aspects did not meet your expectations. While our lush gardens and palm trees are usually admired, we understand that room views can vary and we’re sorry yours did not delight. The presence of ants is certainly not up to our high standards of cleanliness, and we will look into this issue promptly. Regarding the umbrellas and poolside amenities, we strive to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for all our guests and appreciate your feedback on how we can improve. Our breakfast offerings aim to cater to a variety of tastes, including traditional Moroccan and international cuisine, and we're sorry to hear that it did not satisfy your preferences. Your kind words about our extensive all-inclusive services, the serene environment of our OM Spa, and the ease of transportation with our complimentary shuttle service to the city center are much appreciated. It's gratifying to know that the balance of relaxation, family fun, and cultural immersion we aim to provide resonated with you. We are hoping to welcome you back in the future. All the best. How can you not love such an exceptional place?
We came to stay in this hotel as a family, and what a joy!
From the first day we arrived until the last, everything was perfect.
A top entertainment team!!!
We had an excellent time with Walid, Kikou, Soufiane, Wahiba, Sam, Momo and all the others, they are present without being pushy and always with a smile and good humor. The shows are of quality and varied. Musicians during the aperitif and in the evening before the shows.
There is a gym with weight training and cardio equipment. The activities offered are very varied with the equipment provided.
For all inclusive, a true All inclusive, breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner etc. ...there is something for all tastes and what can we say about the cuisine with all these varied dishes, couscous, tagines, Paella, grills, pizzas cooked in front of you, unlimited desserts and quality drinks and unlimited too (osmosis and treated water UV rays, cocktails, wines, etc.).
The staff are friendly and provide impeccable service.
The cleanliness of the premises, rooms, restaurant, swimming pool and toilets is really high quality and appreciable.
The gardens are full of flowers, very beautiful and carefully maintained on a daily basis by a team of gardeners.
The rooms are spacious and clean with large beds, safe, refrigerator, air conditioning which works well. Spacious bathroom.
If we need to find a few points for improvement, I would say the soundproofing of the rooms which, depending on the location, can be noisy. And provide breakfast for those who arrive early.

Already want to come back 👍

This hotel is amazing, this is the first time been to Marrakesh and we wasn’t disappointed.
Firstly the hotel is about 25 minutes from the Centre of Marrakesh and they do have a shuttle bus which is free but you have to book and we couldn’t get in the time we wanted so make sure you book in advance! We did get a taxi and used the ‘In drive’ app and was able to get the price agreed before they came and we paid 120 dirham which was about £9 and on way back we paid 150 dirham.

Hotel sol Oasis is a spotless hotel with beautiful gardens , the staff go out of your way to help and are friendly . Sam and the entertainment team get everyone up and involved and are so lovely , a little tip to get the best cocktails , use the indoor bar and Moshine makes the best cocktails and he is lovely , but all the drinks are good and you have what you want. The food is amazing and there is something for everyone and they know how to show their food off , there is so much selection and it’s so tasty. The wine is in bottles for dinner and you can help yourself and it’s really nice!

There is entertainment every day and night and the staff are amazing and make you feel welcome and they always are trying to get you to join in with them ! We did water aerobics which was good and you can do Zumba and yoga and lots of other activities, including a foam party which was fun. The evening entertainment is good as well. The only negative is that the all inclusive finishes at 11pm and everything is shut at 11pm ! But we sat out every night till later chatting and always had a laugh !

The rooms are lovely and clean and we had fresh towels every day and the beds made. There is a free safe included which is an added bonus and free WiFi throughout the hotel. We didn’t have a balcony but this did not worry us as we were hardly in the room. There is great air con in the room which is needed as was very hot in September.

We had a lovely massage in the Spar , well worth it for complete relaxation ! They offer many treatments as well and it is a beautiful setting.

Overall this hotel warrants 6 stars as was a lovely hotel and we will definitely go back. It offers everything you need for a complete rest . The hotel offers you a number trips you can book with them . I would recommend you looking around to see what other companies offer for the best price. We did city tour with guide which was good and got a feel of a Marrakesh so we were able to go back on our own to the souks and shop , always remember to
barter with them to get the lowest price . We got some great deals.

Thank you for a great holiday , we will be back !!!!

The Sol is a medium-sized hotel with one large outdoor adult pool and a children's pool. The rooms are a decent size but not large. Most don't have balconies or terraces as they're built like riads around a courtyard. Everything in the hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is varied, and there's always something even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy. Pizzas are good from the poolside area.
Drinks are better in the inside bar, where the cocktails are so much better than the poolside bar. The staff are excellent and are so helpful and polite. Nothing is too much trouble for them. There is a gym and spa, but we didn't use them, so we can't comment on their quality, but the entertainment team were fun and offered lots of activities throughout the day. The Sol is great value for money, and the only minor point would be that the bathrooms need updating. Other than that, we'd definitely recommend this hotel!!

November 2023 we had our second week long stay, following our first in November 2022. Both times were absolutely fantastic and unforgettable. Both times the weather has been fantastic, although I believe above average, having high 20's into 30 degrees Celsius.

For our most recent stay, I cannot praise the entertainment team enough, to name a few people: Sam, Mike, Raf and Maximos, although every single person at Sol Oasis is amazing, and they truly are what make your visit special. There are classes and activities throughout the day (dance class, archery, pool activities, Arabic writing, cooking, etc) to keep you busy, and entertainment every evening, which included a variety of dancing, games and the performers doing a show. In between evening events there is live guitar music played, and they're absolutely fantastic to listen to as well.

The room was cleaned every day to a high standard, with a new bottle of water and glasses added, and also the towels were regularly changed. The beds are very large and comfortable.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner have plenty of choice available, with the addition of snacks throughout the day and outdoor pizza in the evening. (Fantastic dessert options!!!) I am a very fussy eater, and I got by on both occasions fine, as there are things like fries, pizza and chicken nuggets at lunch and dinner, and for breakfast options like pancakes, pastries and yoghurts as well as all of the other options that a fussy eater like myself probably wont eat - but there is LOTS of choice if you are not picky!

The pool bar staff are excellent, friendly and fast. You can choose a variety of soft drinks, cocktails and beers included in the all inclusive which is amazing, and there is also an indoor bar, and they make fantastic cocktails in there as well.

I really cannot praise all of the staff enough, from the reception team, to the room cleaners, to the bar staff, to the entertainment team, and to everybody else behind the scenes - you're all amazing and thank you so much. We can't wait to see you again.

Until next time!

We visited Sol Oasis Marrakesh at the end of August 2022.
It had been our first family sun holiday since pre Covid and our first time to Marrakesh.
We booked a Family Extra Suite and it was perfect, King bed in main bedroom, and a pull out Sofa Bed in living area which was very comfortable, with a nice big bathroom, terrace and balcony area, also wardrobe, safe, coffee making facilities and 2 x air con units which keep the room at the perfect temperature.
House keeping called daily and changed bed linen and towels, and room was cleaned to a very high standard. The hotel and grounds are kept in immaculate condition, there are a couple of different bar areas, but we mainly used bar area by pool as that was where all the entertainment was.
The All inclusive food selection was to a very good standard, we have a couple of picky eaters and they were happy with selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also an outdoor pizza and burger area which are available at lunch and evening time.
The staff were amazing, from reception, house keeping, waiting, bar staff and animation team, all were so friendly and would go out of their way to make sure you were happy. Special mention to Hassan in dining area, and all the animation crew, SouSou, ZiSou, Russ Mike, Sam, Moss, they absolutely made our holiday so much fun and gave us plenty of information on what to do and where to go in Marrakesh.
The staff are a credit to the Hotel and made for a truly memorable holiday.
We had great fun dancing and watching the fantastic shows that the team put so much effort into every second evening. There were also games during the day at the pool and around the area that you could easily join in with, watch but were unintrusive if you just wanted to chill.

The location of the hotel is about 20 mins in a taxi outside the main area of Marrakesh, we enjoyed this but the cost of a taxi in about €20 each way (approx.) The hotel did run a free shuttle bus but best to book in advance and also get your timing right, you could end up having to get a taxi back if there was too much time between drop off and pick up.

We would most definitely visit Sol Oasis again due to the amazing vibe in the hotel and of course the world class animation team who really could not do enough for us. The people we met in Marrakesh were also extremely friendly and left us with very fond memories of Morrocco.
