Kenzi Club Agdal Medina offers spacious, clean rooms, although some guests have encountered noise and maintenance issues. The well-kept grounds and cleanliness are often commended, while its location earns high marks for convenience to Marrakesh's attractions. Opinions on value are split, with some finding it reasonable and others pointing out unexpected costs. The hotel boasts a lively, family-friendly atmosphere with a variety of activities, despite some criticism of noise levels and dated decor. Amenities, including pools and dining, generally receive positive feedback, but a few guests note service can be hit or miss.

We arrived Friday afternoon for a 4 night stay, during a busy period around 2pm. We were welcomed with true Moroccan hospitality and charisma. While we were checked in we were offered refreshments while Khalid on front desk went through the hotel amenities, policy’s, meal times, restaurant selections. We were taken to our room by good buggy and given a whistle stop tour of the hotel grounds. The room was beautifully clean with a Moroccan inspired decor, the room was cleaned beautifully early everyday and kept well stocked. The animation team were all super friendly, they tried to involve all guests, they created an amazing atmosphere and really put on great entertainment throughout our stay both day and night. The pool bar was such a vibe, entertaining, great music and the all bar staff always go above and beyond. We enjoyed an evening at the Moroccan themed restaurant which was faultless would highly recommend the Fes menu we did not try other themed restaurants. The buffet restaurant in my opinion was good what food was fresh but if you arrive late often food was not hot and not do good, this is the hotels only let down . The staff in all hotel restaurants were fantastic all friendly and could not do enough to make customers happy.

Everything was perfect, I couldn't say better. I left with my 4 grandsons aged 7 to 14. To mention first of all the kindness and professionalism of all the staff; from the welcome to the restaurant staff or room staff. The suite I had booked was perfect for 5, spacious, clean, both bathrooms the same; the terrace and garden area were not overlooked. The restaurant with its buffet meals was the best when you come with your family. Various dishes, ranging from many tagines to more classic dishes. Everything was beautiful and good. Young and old can feast with pleasure, according to their tastes and desires. At each meal the spots made to order were also very appreciated. The service staff in the room was careful to make sure everything was perfect (bring the drinks, clear the tables as you go etc). I specify that at each meal the tablecloths and towels were fabrics, of different colors and assorted. I also very much appreciated that the pool area with the slides was monitored so that everything happened safely. One person upstairs and one downstairs, attentive. The children enjoyed having access to unlimited drinks especially as it was very hot. We made several outings and excursions, including a beautiful day in the High Atlas. Everything is well organized. We will have a great memory of our stay at this Pension and I really recommend it for a family holiday. Many thanks to all the staff who allow us to spend a quality and unforgettable stay. And thank you to the leadership that is working to make it so.

We had a great stay, enough to make happy adults and children alike.
The gym, spa and Things to do... a lot to do throughout the stay.
Animators: I used to go to a club with kids club but this is the first time there is a REAL teen club! thanks to Abdel for his work.
I also thank all the animation team who allowed us to have a good time even when we are alone with children. Especially Abdel, Ines, Hassna, Salma, Amandine, Badr, Hassan and team leader Sam but also Malila the dancer, Bouchra, Saad of the mini club, Thomas, Smili, Ratatouille and Mahdi.
Thanks to Abdelatif for accompanying us throughout the stay and taking the time with the guests.
The team is excellent, always close and attentive to the customer.

A little downside regarding the music at the parties... really I didn't have the Impression of being in Morocco and that's a shame! you really have to think about putting more Moroccan or oriental music. Regarding the French variety, we should also think about young people at the evenings because it was a lot of music from the 80s/90s.

Regarding the restaurant, everything was excellent... there is really the choice from breakfast Msemmen, pankaces, baghrir pancakes for lunch and dinner couscous, soup, fish, meat and a lot of Moroccan specialty ummm really perfect!

the only downside was the food waste that I find unacceptable! and one thing that also shocked me were the children who helped themselves to eat and then changed their review! They would take the food from their plate and put it back in the dish of the restaurant!! parents must be required to accompany their children to help themselves eat! I of course forwarded this information to the manager of the restaurant.
I want to thank the waiter who is there to check that everything is going well but it should be noted that the service to clear the tables is not fast enough... I found myself looking for a clean table very often.
But thank you to all the waiters and waitresses for their kindness.

Regarding the rooms, they are spacious and very nice... the housekeeper is very nice and does her job well but it would have to be done completely in the rooms because it is very brief (I waited at least 5 days for a spider web to be removed near the toilet). In the other hotels, which are not 5 stars, room cleaning was more important.
Watch out for the showers, they were always clogged!

In short some small details to improve but quickly forgotten thanks to everything else... the friendliness of Moroccans, good food, atmosphere, Pension location!!!

I'll be back.
Long live Morocco Allah, Al watan, Al malik

We came as a family over the All Saints holidays and we are used to traveling.

The setting of the hotel is magnificent with beautiful olive trees and 2 large swimming pools, only the small one of which was heated…. So it’s stormed and it’s very, very noisy. People lack the know-how to live and put down their towels at 7 a.m. to reserve deckchairs and only come at 11 a.m. or even later!!!! 🤬

The hotel is located in an area where there is nothing, you have to take the shuttle by booking the day before to go to the median (often full) or take a taxi (€5).
If you are looking for a quiet vacation this is not the ideal place, especially during school holidays.

The room is comfortable but very poorly soundproofed from the neighbors or the passageway. In addition, the hotel is close to the airport and we hear planes at least every 10 minutes very early in the morning and all day long.
For meals, do not try the Moroccan restaurant and trust the reviews, it is deplorable! The couscous is not as good as at self-service and you will eat some of the best in France! The service is extremely long. We waited 1 hour before getting entry and as you have to follow through on the scam, you have to pay for the drinks.
Several couples left before the end of the meal…

We were very disappointed with the buffet, we never had Moroccan pastries for example on our 10 day vacation for example. The tagines are excellent.

If you have dessert that you see when you have your starter, take it because afterwards you are not sure if you still have any and the dishes are regularly empty

A good point for the fresh fish workshops cut and cooked to order certain evenings.

In the morning there is a shortage of coffee cups. If there are cups, take one before going to help yourself 😉

For the activities if you go to the archery activity, you will be able to shoot 2 arrows and that’s it 😟

We had a room overlooking a wasteland area over which planes pass. Impossible to take advantage of the 2 chairs on the terrace and above all no interest. No deckchair for reading for example….

The bathtub closing system did not work and the first 8 days it was difficult to get hot water and the last 2 days the water was cold....

The staff is very pleasant but insufficient in number in the restaurant and it is regular to have drinks when you arrive at the end of the meal.

The evening shows are qualitative and the entertainers give their all to the holidaymakers.

I was going to forget the unlimited drinks…. But also without alcohol or almost. If you take a pinacolada for example, you will have a weird juice…

Cons:

Reservation of deckchairs: it is stated everywhere that it is forbidden to reserve deckchairs around swimming pools... but this is false. Hours of towels and nobody on them and you get rotten if you settle down. I knew afterwards that to be sure of space, it was enough to slip a few tickets to the security guard: inadmissible for a 5 star!

Music around the pool: absolutely not suitable for children: French lyrics with insults and vulgar vocabulary at 5:00 pm anyway.

- Cleanliness of the room: sheets, towels, cushions, top of bed, curtains: everything is stained. Every day we had to call the reception as towels and bath mats were missing. Summary and quick cleaning.

- Material of the room: Since the shower joints were not made at the glass wall, the bathroom was flooded with each shower. After 3 days, evacuation of the blocked shower and at the end of the stay failure of the air conditioning.
Everything was repaired after many calls at the front desk but this is not the kind of thing I wanted to worry about during my vacation.

Restaurant: Having only eaten at the Pension restaurant and being careful what we ate, we were sick half the vacation.
Apart from the evolution of the dish related to the theme of the day, it is every day the same.

- Kids Club: A Gap Between Photos on Reservation Sites and Reality! The premises is old and the children fight for 10 colored pencils.
Zero reception of children, they do not even bother to get up from their seats to welcome a child who is making his first day and barely address us.

Photographer: After a few photos during the first days of the stay, he insists that we quietly take the aperitif with the family to go to his Cabin to see the photos. Great at 10€ the photo! Especially as the girl, tells us the Award only at the last moment. Clearly FLIGHT!!!

Pros:

- Architecture and outdoor areas of the Pension.

- Free shuttle to the center of Marrakech.

Dinner at the Moroccan restaurant.

- Spacious room and decent bedding.

Restaurant and bar service: pleasant, polite and smiling staff.

- Pleasant animation team. .

The Kenzi Club Agdal Medina is a fantastic hotel and catered for all of our needs during our 10 night stay.

We were greeted by the most friendly door staff and as soon as we had checked in we were whisked off to our room on a golf cart and given a tour of the grounds. At this point we both felt instantly relaxed after our flight and taxi journey.

Our room was lovely and spacious and clean to a high standard which was lovely to see. Our patio area overlooked a small garden and the tennis courts which was lovely and quiet.

Our mini fridge already had bottled water waiting for us as well as soaps and shower gels in the bathroom, along with lovely clean towels. The housekeepers were also fab and we had our bed made and clean towels everyday!

We were upgraded to a room for free by a quiet pool up towards the back of the complex so we were very grateful. The quietness of the pool area really was a god send as the other pools were very much more orientated towards families with kids and were very busy and a little noisier.

The restaurant, although very busy, was always well stocked with a huge selection of international cuisines alongside local Moroccan food. We did, at times, feel a little overwhelmed with the choice of what to have but I wouldn’t class this as a negative more a positive to the kitchen staff for their hard work in ensuring that everyone felt catered for.

The bar was always very busy and only a few times did we have to queue. Most of the time however, the bar staff were very attentive, friendly and always made sure we had a drink when needed.

The entertainment was mainly orientated towards the kids but there was karaoke, quizzes and live music a little later that were all fairly good. The entertainment staff catered for French, English and of course Arabic tourists and we didn’t at any point feel left out.

Location wise, the hotel is only a 15-20 min drive from the airport, so ideally located if you don’t feel like a long drive after your flight. The gardens were beautifully maintained and I think we saw (everyday) staff tending to hedges, grass and plants.

The hotel also has an on-site pharmacy/infirmary, laundrette and a spa which we in fact did take advantage of and had a lovely massage on our second day.

So all in all, would I recommend this hotel to others? Quite simply, yes I would. It has everything you need for a fantastic stay. A lot of people have mentioned that they wouldn’t class the hotel as a 5 star. I would agree given UK 5 star standards but if you look at it from a Moroccan perspective, it definitely would come under 5 star quality.

Give it a go and I’m sure you’ll find it as friendly and wonderful as we did.

Our agent for excursions Abdel Majid, helped us organize all our group/ family excursions.  We stayed from Dec 6 to Dec 13 and did:  (A) day trip to Casablanca (B) guided walking tour of the Souk/market  (C) hot air balloon in the early morning, "camel" ride in the late afternoon  (D) Oureka Valley trip.
He was helpful and transparent, which resulted in an amazing time for our group.  As for Marrakech itself, I didn't feel "unsafe."  Majority of people are friendly.  Hustlers at the marketplace, as expected where tourists congregate but in general people leave you alone.  If you plan to visit the Souk/marketplace, I highly recommend paying for the guided tour.  If you take the free hotel shuttle bus that drops you at the Souk, chances are high that you'll get lost exploring on your own because it's like a maze! Hotel could use some upgrades esthetically, in room furniture/bedding/colors, improved wifi and water IN the mini fridge but hospitality staff were all very good.

Incredible experience overall!  Food was delicious. People were friendly.  Weather was generally good but we did get the cold spell, about 18/19 on average during our stay.  It is supposed to go back up to high 20s again.  No rain or wind - apparently it's pretty consistent like that. Would love to return but would like to explore perhaps the northern part of the country next time.

If you're thinking of visiting Marrakech.... do it!!

The establishment is located outside the hustle and bustle of the Medina and offers regular free shuttles.
The hotel is made up of “ryads” with rooms on the ground floor or upstairs. All the tree-lined paths are constantly cleaned The rooms are spacious with small balcony or terrace, kettle, coffee, tea, fridge, air conditioning
ALL the staff are admirable, kind
The Atlas restaurant offers a large breakfast buffet and the bread is fresh 😋 the jams are delicious
For lunch a choice of cooked dishes of pasta, pizzas, vegetables tagines...several desserts, although I would have appreciated more cooked fruits
In the evening various themes like paella.
A bar in the evening with a choice of several cocktails and some aperitif accompaniments
We are not fans of animations but bravo to the work of this team. Finally we were able to choose relevant excursions to discover a region, a population other than that of the Medina.
I would happily recommend this hotel (class 4 in France). Thank you for everyone’s kindness and smile.

Very mixed feelings at the end of our week here. The heated pool and surroundings are fabulous, gardens kept clean and tidy and are very pleasant, animation team work hard to try and appeal to everyone and lots of sporting options (even two Padel courts at extra cost). When the food is good it’s very good (fish night in particular but also the pizzas and range of salads), and you won’t go hungry. Mohamed a waiter in the Gnawa lounge was very friendly and had an amazing memory for your drink preferences.
The not so good is that breakfast is often a story of empty tagines, empty fruit trays and huge queues for omelettes. First couple of days food often cold, and occasionally on other days too, cheese always looked dry at the edges. Twice saw kitchen staff picking over food with their hands and then eating it, and a chef taking away a whole pizza to put in his work area even though the customer area was nearly empty. Favouritism from some staff to Arab and French speakers at bars and in the restaurant. On arrival our room wasn’t properly prepared or cleaned, took nearly two days to actually see a manager even though I left my mobile number with reception, we were then upgraded to a better room and he checked back with us that things were better. On the last day we paid for a Hammam at the onsite spa with black soap, but wouldn’t bother as it was rushed and nowhere near as good as many others and seems to have left me with a rash on my back and legs.

A great value week at hotel. Overall if you come with 4 star expectations, I don’t think you’ll be too disappointed.

The food was probably 3/4 star. You can prebook 3 waiter service restaurants the day before ( set menus, 2 of which drinks not included) . They made a change from the slightly repetitive buffet restaurant.

Definitely worth eating out in Marrakesh for fresher, more authentic cuisine. The free shuttle bus is useful but not late enough if want a night in Marrakesh which would highly recommend - taxis if negotiate are about £7 and plentiful

We enjoyed the free table tennis, boules, gym and a few stretching classes and even a dance class. The paddle tennis courts are good but pricey at £18 inc equipment hire.

At this time of year the main pool was bracing but we almost had it to ourselves. The smaller pool is heated and was where most of the activities and at times annoyingly loud music was. I would imagine later in the year this will actually be the quieter adult pool and everything will move down to the big unheated pool.

Evening entertainment included a few surprisingly professional shows but was generally very French based ( which understandable with French being main language spoken in hotel) For us the place lacked some quieter well lit spaces on an evening to play cards etc

Our room was spacious and comfortable although not sure how effective old looking air con would be in warmer months.

Overall, a great stay!

Response from Kenzi Club Agdal Medina Marrakech, Directeur général at Kenzi Club Agdal Medina
Responded 3 days ago
Thank you for your detailed review and for sharing your honest feedback! We’re glad to hear that you had a great value stay at the Kenzi Club Agdal Medina. It’s great to know you enjoyed the variety of activities, including the table tennis, boules, and dance classes, as well as the convenience of the shuttle to Marrakech. We appreciate your comments on the food, and we understand that the buffet can sometimes feel repetitive—our a la carte restaurants are always there to offer a change of pace, and we’re happy that you found those options helpful. We’ll also take note of your observations regarding the evening entertainment and the quieter spaces for relaxation, as we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience for all of our guests. We hope to welcome you back in the future for another enjoyable stay! Kind regards

Buffet type thing at the pool bar which shut when you wanted it. I was not impressed by it at all, and tbh the star rating on this place is way off. It is miles off 5 star, and barely a 4 star imo.

Yes and no, the pool bar is open during the day which serves alcohol but the bar that serves for the evening entertainment is not open during the day. You can get alcohol all day from probably around 9:30/10am. Hope that makes sense
