Stayed one night at Dar Nour El Houda when I first arrived in Morocco and it was a wonderful start to the trip. They arranged a pick-up from the airport and even though the flight was over 4 hours late the driver was there waiting and delivered me to the hotel. Noureddine met me on arrival and couldn't have been...

Right from first booking, my wife and I knew we'd made the right choice. We value communication highly, and they offered some of the best on our trip. Emailing in advance of the trip allowed us to arrange a pick-up from the airport and a guide to help carry bags and walk us to the door (the €2 was very...

We stayed at Dar Nour el Houda for two nights at the end of summer right around the Eid holiday, which was a chaotic time. It took us a little while to find the riad because so many kids were trying to "help" us navigate, but it wasn't difficult to find at all without any interference! Once we arrived, it...

This riad is lovely- my friend and I had the Baraka and Terrace rooms and both were very comfortable and wonderfully decorated. The terrace is delightful to enjoy the amazing weather and the inner courtyard and dipping pool lovely features. What really made this place special was Noureddine and Sara- Noureddine is there every step of the way to plan...

I stayed here with a group of 5 friends. The riad is beautifully renovated to look modern. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The shower water pressure is great, which is a treat in Morocco. There is air conditioning in the rooms which is nice. Noureddine was extremely helpful with everything! He was the best part of the riad. He...

The riad is situated in a very quiet alley that is very walkable to the souq and the main square/plaza in Marrakech. When I arrived in Marrakech, the staff met me at a nearby police station and led me to a safe lot to park my rental car. We then walked to the riad where we sat in the fantastic...

Recently returned from my 3rd visit to Dar Nour El Houda, and the riad is still the highlight of my visits to Marrakech. Once you enter and settle down, you just feel the comfort and serenity of being at peace in a calm oasis, with good company and superb hospitality. The riad itself is so beautifully decorated by a talented...

Lovely, clean and comfortable intimate riad with an excellent location, beautifully decorated, and the best part of all was our host Noureddine. What an amazing man. He made us feel very welcome, comfortable, and made sure we had everything we needed and more. He helped us navigate the short maze to the main square so we felt comfortable getting around,...

After reading other reviews, I was afraid this place would not meet expectations. It did. Noureddine could not have been nicer. He met us at the taxi drop off each and every time we left or came back from an excursion. He gave us a detailed map with landmarks on how to navigate to Jemma El Fna and then took...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dar Nour El Houda is a chic and unique boutique Riad in the heart of the Madina of Marrakech. It is the former home of French contemporary artist Patrick Carpentier and is now owned by a group of British friends who fell in love with the place. The Riad is interior decorated to a high standard in cream and white. It enjoys an open courtyard with a large Olive tree and a plunge pool as well as a terrace with views to the Katoubia and the Atlas Mountains. Each of the four en-suite bedrooms have their own unique character and the entire property is decorated with Patrick's beautiful artworks. The Riad is located in the centre of the Madina, close to star attractions such as Ben Youssef Mosque and Madresa (5 mins walk), the Marrakech Museum (5 mins walk) and the Photography Museum (4 mins walk). Jemaa-El-Fna is an approximate 12-15 minute walk away and a map is provided to guide you. Taxis from the airport stop at Place Moukef (Kaat Benahid), a 4 minute walk away. Famous restaurants such as Le Fondouk, Dar Tazi and Restaurant Naima are all approximately 5 minutes walk away, but in our opinion the best meal is served within Dar Nour El Houda itself with a fantastic 3-course meal cooked by one of your hosts, Asia. Together with our Manager, Noureddine, you will be treated to attentive service where every guest is looked after with the utmost care. ... more   less
