Dar Nour El Houda is small and beautifully formed - a little oasis in the heart of the Marrakesh medina. Awesome service from Noureddine, what a great guy! From the moment we arrived he made us feel right at home, 'training' us on navigating our way round the medina and happy to help with anything. We had a lovely dinner...

We stayed at the Riad for 12 days in february and had a great time in Marrakech with Dar Nour El Houda as our home, walking and exploring this multifaceted city with day trips to the Atlas and Essouira. We really felt like home in this little Riad, artistic reconditioned and decorated by the former owner, who was a french...

The house itself is beautiful and relaxing, but what wins this place consistent 5 star reviews is definitely Nouredine. He goes above the way to make sure your stay is pleasant and is always ready to help. He picked us up from the taxi station outside the medina and walked us to the house. Then gave us map of medina...

The location was good and a short walk away fro the central tourist attractions. Nouredine, our impeccable host, helped us plan our daily activities and it was honestly one of the...

This Riad was a real gem! Nourredine the general manager went above and beyond everyday! As I was a female solo traveller, saying in the midst of all the Hustle and bustle was a bit daunting. It's easy to attract unwanted attention especially if you look lost but nothing was ever a bother for Nourredine, he was happy to collect...

This has been my 3rd visit. This place never fails to impress. The place is beautiful, the location is ideal, the breakfast is scrumptious, and most importantly the staff couldn't be any more hospitable. We always go as a family with our 4 kids and book the whole place out. It has 4 rooms over 3 floors. The staff have...

But above all, the staff is wonderful, with an attentiveness and friendliness out of the ordinary. Absolutely recommended!!

The impression of Marrakech is widely divided. Someone loves it so much, talking about charming medina, kind local people, impressive market. While someone else hates it about aggressive vendors and numerous trip traps. In an exotic city like Marrakech, the difference between a memorial experience and unpleasant travel can be the riad to stay. Dar Nour El Honda is beautiful....

Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so pleased with your complimentary comments. You are correct that the riad you choose makes all the difference in the experience of Marrakech. The contemporary riad with real Morocco spirit, modern art and traditional design elements. We really adored the approach and appreciated our very cool host Noureddine who adviced us best places for visiting, good restraunts and the cute streets in local markets in the old Medina of Marrakesh. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dar Nour El Houda is a chic and unique boutique Riad in the heart of the Madina of Marrakech. It is the former home of French contemporary artist Patrick Carpentier and is now owned by a group of British friends who fell in love with the place. The Riad is interior decorated to a high standard in cream and white. It enjoys an open courtyard with a large Olive tree and a plunge pool as well as a terrace with views to the Katoubia and the Atlas Mountains. Each of the four en-suite bedrooms have their own unique character and the entire property is decorated with Patrick's beautiful artworks. The Riad is located in the centre of the Madina, close to star attractions such as Ben Youssef Mosque and Madresa (5 mins walk), the Marrakech Museum (5 mins walk) and the Photography Museum (4 mins walk). Jemaa-El-Fna is an approximate 12-15 minute walk away and a map is provided to guide you. Taxis from the airport stop at Place Moukef (Kaat Benahid), a 4 minute walk away. Famous restaurants such as Le Fondouk, Dar Tazi and Restaurant Naima are all approximately 5 minutes walk away, but in our opinion the best meal is served within Dar Nour El Houda itself with a fantastic 3-course meal cooked by one of your hosts, Asia. Together with our Manager, Noureddine, you will be treated to attentive service where every guest is looked after with the utmost care. ... more   less
