As others have noted the location is perfect—15 minutes walk to the old town. It’s quiet, safe and there are a number of restaurants a short walk away. Rooms are spacious and clean. Free WIFI at a good speed. However, the room lighting is very poor. It’s impossible to read a book if you font have a Kindle. Also, there was a smell of smoke. Breakfast was a generous buffet of cakes galore and continental staples plus yoghurt snd cereal. They also had fresh fruit juice. No eggs though. It’s a good place for groups yo meet, but if joy are a tourist on your own a good riad is a better option.

This wasn’t my first time at this hotel and I actually always love staying at Novotel all around the world. But the thing that makes this one in Marrakech stand out is the amazing service from the employees. They are so kind, helpful, always go the extra mile for us and make the experience wonderful. From the managers to the waiting staff, they’re so friendly that I would come back just for the service!

The best thing about this hotel is the location near the Medina and some nice restaurants. The rooms are nice and clean as well. The bar/restaurant needs major help in customer service. I went in to get a beer and work on my computer. When ordering my beer, I was told it was mandatory to order food as well! What! It's a bar! I immediately left for another establishment. The stupid thing about it, I had two traveling companions and we were all going to meet at the bar for drinks. We would have spent more money on drinks then the "mandatory" food purchase. In fact, we were going to go there for dinner but decided to go someplace else. So instead of making $60-$70, they made nothing!

On arrival to the hotel was charged again for hotel stay after confirming previous payment made 2 days prior to arrival. So in essence, I was charged twice for the hotel stay. After complaining everyday during my stay, which ruined my holiday. 5 days later, I was credited back payment only to be charged for conversion rate and fees. I told the hotel manager it was their fault I was charged incorrectly, and out of 'Goodwill Gesture' they should pay the conversion rate and fees. I only incurred it because they had charged my stay twice. They refused to do so, even though it was their error in the first place!

If i had the chance to rate zero star i would not have missed it. What can i say, once we arrived at the hotel, we were really happy about the location which is at the end of the day the one and only advantage of the hotel...but wait there, the service is below mediocre, room service finishes at 11pm, which is just silly as we arrived late at night and we couldn't get a bottle of water. Drinking water has a nasty smell so I had to get down to the bar begging for bottle of water...breakfast was poor and what s worse the waiters always on their phone, I have never seen such useless unprofessional waiting staff in my whole professionalism personal life, they dont bother to help nor even say hi and all what they come from here is to be on their phone and eat behind the counter.
