We were able to stay at this beautiful gem of a riad for four nights in the Roumana suite in March 2017. If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. Dar Roumana stands out in many ways. First, it is stunningly pretty and was renovated with what was clearly great love and care. It is a gorgeous...

Our room was grand, huge and beautifully decorated with tiles and mosaics consistent with the character of the rest of the building. Bed was huge and comfortable. It was on the ground floor and we would strongly recommend booking a room on the upper floors. The restaurant is in the courtyard on the ground meaning diners are right outside the...

My daughter and I just spent four days in Fes and Dar Roumana was the perfect base. We stayed in the Tamarind Suite which was beautiful, comfortable, and spacious (I agree with the other reviewers that the rooms on the upper floors are preferable to ground floor rooms that open onto the courtyard). Zak and Mohammed arranged for three tours...

Stay at this Riad if you are going to Fez. Located on a peaceful side street, Dar Roumana has gorgeous rooms, a sweeping rooftop deck, top-quality food and an attentive staff. This was the finest place we stayed out of the 7 hotels we stayed at throughout Morocco. Great memories.

I knew I'd chosen the right place when I heard 1920's music wafting up to my upstairs room from the ground floor top rated restaurant. My room was spectacular -- huge and beautifully detailed. I only wish there hadn't been a canopy on the bed as I had the unfortunate experience of being sick for a day, and wanted to...

Wonderful Dar in a well located quiet part of the city. The inside of the building is beyond beautiful - a grand palatial experience with immaculate attention to detail in every room. We were fortunate to spend New Years Eve and thoroughly enjoyed the 6 course feast laid on by the in-house chef and team. It was DELICIOUS! Coming from...

Dar Roumana is truly special. The owner took such care in its restoration; the craftsmanship, tile work and wood carving bring the riad back to its original glory. We have stayed in both the Yasmina Suite and the Tamarind Suite, and both are gorgeous rooms, with lots of space, high ceilings, large stained glass windows that open to the courtyard,...

Splendid riad in Fes. We had the 2 suites on the ground floor, see pictures. They were just fantastic. We also enjoyed a "international food" dinner for once. Food was a bit expensive but it was worth it.

Dar Roumana is a gem within the Fes Medina. Simply put, the riad is one of the greatest attractions in Fes. My wife and I stayed there as part of our honeymoon trek through Morocco and this place was the best attraction in the city. Let's talk about why: Service: If I try to name everyone that was thoughtful, pleasant,...

What an AMAZING experience! The Dar Roumana is a gem and came highly recommended to me by friends in the US consulate, who often come here. After spending a wonderful, yet exhausting, day in the Medina, the Dar Roumana seemed like an oasis. Once I found the Dar Roumana, I felt like a king. Mohamed greeted me with a warm...

All rooms (4 suites and 1 double room) are decorated with traditional arts and crafts, intricate carved plaster, high cedar ceilings, mosaic tile floors, and hand-crafted furniture.
