As we walked from a busy dirt parking lot up the small alley-like walkway to Riad Maison Bleue, our guide said in Morocco we don't judge a book by its cover. This was incredibly true of this truly lovely property as we walked through its front door and office into a veritable Moroccan paradise. The stunning courtyard is anchored by... More

Navigating the ups and downs of the three houses that form this Riad can feel like playing 3-D chess, looking at an Escher drawing or working out a Rubik's cube. Dark rooms - that's the Fes way - let the colours play out. Roof restaurant with small menu and decent wine list. Wonderful Moroccan salad of multiple mini tajines worth... More

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the news of an upgrade to a suite. Our suite was very spacious with separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom areas. Very comfortable indeed. Welcoming fruit basket and homemade biscuits completed our surprise. Service was prompt and courteous and we enjoyed the glorious evening on the terrace where we also enjoyed an excellent dinner.... Very convenient location right in the old medina and only a few minutes walk to the market area. Gorgeous architecture inside and several nice patio areas. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Room was very comfortable with some extra nice touches (bath robes, rose petals on the bed!)

This was a wonderful experience in the Fes Medina. The Riad was only a 5-minute walk from the dropoff point and our luggage was brought in by cart. Then staff was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Our room was right on the main courtyard; it was a beautiful old room with all the amenities and marvelous 2-story stained-glass windows. The breakfast... More

I spent 7 nights at the RMB in Fes in December. The location is conveniently located right next to entrance to the medina for easy access. The staff and accomodations were absolutely wonderful. I have never experienced such hospitality before. Everything from the delicious moroccan breakfasts to the delightful scents of incense filling our room made the overall experience amazing.... More

The owners of Riad Maison Bleue place a clear emphasis on the sort of service one might expect from a host rather than a hotelier. Nothing is too much trouble; unstinting service is provided with a smile. You will enjoy wandering--occasionally a little lost--around the building's many stylish Escher-like nooks and crannies almost as much as the visceral experiences to... More

We spent three nights at the beautiful Riad Maison Bleue in Fes. The location is great, right within the ramparts of the old city and a short walk to the medina. It is also close to the site of the ancient tombs overlooking the city, where you can get a fantastic view of the medina, the city and surrounding countryside.... More

Although not Moroccan, I very much enjoy their food and have had it in almost every single great occidental capital (in and outside of Morocco) you can think of. Importantly, food is first and foremost a sign of quality and tradition. I am pleased to say I have had the best Moroccan food to date in this restaurant! (the tip... More

Beautiful courtyard, roof terrace, and rooms decorated in traditional Fassis style with nice textiles, tiles, and cedar wood. Friendly staff, good location. It sure beats staying at usual chain hotels.
