Wonderful view from the terrace, from where you can see and enjoy all the old city of Fez. Fouad the host person was simply great! Very clean rooms and good service. Excellent location, just 3 minutes walking from Batha square, safe at night for those who are travelling alone and want to come back late at night. Any guest would...

After some hectic days being in Morroco, and feeling drained of the heat. I needed to recharge my batteries and I needed a place that could offer me that peace and relaxation. And Riad Layla offers it. The personel and the hosts Fouad & Latifa gave me a very warm welcome but also their proffesionality are top quality. The roof...

Beautiful riad with charming big rooms very well located close to the place Batha in Fes. Excellent service - very nice, helpful and customer oriented people! Don't miss dinner at the relaxed rooftop terrace with amazing views to the medina - the food is superb!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Fes. You have to walk down bare alleyways and through lots of twists and turns to get there but when you open the door a beautiful scene appears. The room we had was up a small flight of stairs and overlooked the courtyard. The breakfasts were excellent as were the evening meals...

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. This was our first time in Fes. They arranged a taxi upon arrival and without the driver and his directions, I think we could not find it the first time. Fes is famous for its alleys and this hotel is a hidden gem in the hundreds of alleys, Fes has to offer....

I stayed here on a family holiday with my mum and brother in November 2015. Although it has taken quite a while to write this review, this is absolutely no reflection on Riad Layla which was our first experience of staying in a hotel in Morocco. It is a superb place to stay with really kind and friendly staff. The...

We arrived to the riad by car and were already given some directions by the staff in advance and then called them for showing us a parking when we arrived at place Batha. This worked very well, and the Riad is rather conveniently located for going there by car, not too far from the parking and Place Batha is dead...

My stay at Riad Layla was so amazing. We stayed in the Royal suit which had a mezzanine level (partner is 6'2 and it was plenty tall enough for him) and an amazing bathroom. The riad was beautiful with its traditional but modern interior and it's lovely terrace. It is situated out the outskirts of the medina which was nice,...

We got the "royal" room, which is two floors and a spiral staircase. We ate dinner twice here and it was truly amazing. The chicken pastilla was the best meal I had in Morocco. The staff is very helpful and can make great recommendations.

Unfortunately this was our least favorite hotel on our trip in Morocco. While the rooms & bathrooms are no doubt very generous, the management is not very honest in dealing with its clients. We asked for directions to a restaurant of our own choice and were told that it's a very expensive restaurant, then suddenly the lady did not know...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad Layla enthrals you with a decor and ambiance reminiscent of the Arabian Nights. Riad Layla enchants you! The traditional building is constructed in Moorish style and was renovated in 3 years with much effort and love for the smallest details, just so that you could rent a riad that epitomises elegance. The building offers the comfort and service of a luxury hotel combined with the dreamy ambiance of a riad. The design combines traditional Moroccan architecture and craftsmanship with modern comfort. At the centre of the riad is a patio with a fountain and its pool. Cedar wood, mosaic (zellig) and stucco are witnesses of the elegance of this former residence. The salon, the patio and the beautiful roof terraces with a breathtaking view of the entire Fez medina offer a place to read, sun-bathe and relax. Breakfast and dinner are served on the roof terrace during summer. Come and enjoy the atmosphere of Riad Layla for your Morocco holidays ... more   less
