Sometimes, you come across fantastic hotels and B&Bs that aren't really being run to turn a profit. The owners seem to do it just for the pleasure of hosting people and giving them a wonderful holiday, they don't count the pennies. Dar Gnaoua is one of these places. I chose it after reading enthusiastic comments about the manager, Ahmed, and...

The staff are AMAZING people. The hotel manager is super helpful in everything we need. Best hospitality we've ever received. Respectful, trustful people that treats you with heart. The hotel owner - a lovely French lady, also super nice and brought us wonderful memories! I will give 10/10, no doubt.

Wonderful small riad in the Medina of Fes. It is very conveniently located and there are a lot of signs in the medina indicating the way to the hotel which helps a lot to get your bearings in the narrow winding streets. The traditional interior is beautiful and the rooms (we rented the suite) are very comfortable. There is a...

We stayed 2 nights in Dar Gnaoua. The house is an oasis of peace and you feel at home. We stayed 2 nights and feelt at ease thanks to the great hospitality of Ahmed and Laurence. They helped us around and guided us in the small streets of Fez. Thanks a lot for your great hospitality!!

This has to be one of the best Riads in Morocco! My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here. Ahmed and Laurence were extremely welcoming and made our stay in Fes truly memorable. The breakfast was the best one we had during our 2 weeks travelling around the country (so we had quite a few) and having it on...

This small Riad is located in the middle of the Medina. The highlight is the Terrasse which is overlooking the area. The four rooms are nicely and individually renovated. Achmed, a staff member, looked very well after us, knows the Medina by hart and makes sure that you find your way around. And if somebody get's lost in the tiny...

I didn't stay at Dar Gnaoua, but as I was lost in the old city and asked a stranger for my way, it turned out that it was the owner of Dar Gnaoua, who took the time to show me the riad, offer me water, give me a map and advice as to what to see and how to avoid...

I booked this hotel for 2 nights and extended to 6. I wanted to enjoy the medina but also have the calm to work and rest. Ahmed and Laurent were incredibly accommodating and generous. I especially loved spending time taking in the vast view from the terrace and being around such a tastefully decorated and carefully preserved historic jewel. Very...

My Partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Dar Gnaoua!! Ahmed was there to meet us when the transfer car dropped us off just outside of Bab R'cif and showed us the way to the Riad pointing out the signs on the way so that we would not get lost when we went out by ourselves! We went into...
