MELLIBER Appart Hotel is commended for its modernity and cleanliness by numerous guests, particularly noting its prime location near the Hassan II Mosque and the ocean. While the hotel receives high marks for its spacious rooms equipped with cooking facilities and beneficial business amenities, opinions are divided regarding room maintenance and the level of service, which some guests find inconsistent. The overall atmosphere is deemed clean and modern, though not all find the decor to their taste. Value assessments are mixed, reflecting a disparity between price and perceived quality of amenities and service.

First and foremost, for a 4-star hotel, this is the first time I heard of a hotel not having towel upon check-in. Second, they are very poor with responding to emails; we’ve had to send multiple emails in order to receive a simple yes or no answer (e.g. airport pick and drop-off).
Ramadan at front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating as he was able to give us an early check-in which we’re thankful for. He was also very resourceful and gave us some names of local restaurants upon asking.
However, we were disappointed with the response we received from a woman at the reception desk (didn’t get her name) when we called and asked for towels. Initially she stated she would have someone bring us some towels and then 30mins passed so we called again at 2:54pm. Her rude response was “well check-in time is at 3pm so you’re early, you just have to wait.” If this was indeed the case, why didn’t she inform us of this when we called initially?! Wish I would’ve received her name; very unprofessional and this is coming from someone who travels quite a bit!

Dear traveler, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us at Melliber Appart Hotel in Casablanca. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you faced regarding the towels upon check-in and the communication challenges through email for your airport transfer queries. Your satisfaction is paramount to us, and we are committed to improving our service quality. I assure you that we are working closely with our department heads to resolve these shortcomings swiftly. The hotel is big. The rooms are also well equipped, towels, shampoo, soap, air conditioning, television, kitchen inside..
and of course the location opposite the mosque, Hassan II.
The staff is attentive, attentive and smiling.
Bar side warm atmosphere and delicious drinks. The morning breakfast buffet is complete and well stocked, even well stocked.

Melliber appart hotel is clean and modern. Wonferful view of Hassan II mosque. Beds very comfortable, many additional services available. We appreciate in particular the possibility of parking our car directly inside the hotel: we didn't need to find a parking in a town with a lot of traffic like Casablanca.

I chose this hotel for its close proximity to the Hassan II Mosque. Our suite was on the seventh floor and there was a good view of the city from the balcony. The housekeeping was completed to a high standard and we found the cleaners to be pleasant and efficient. The room itself was in urgent need of decorating and had multiple faults.
The safe didn’t work, the wardrobe was poor quality and falling apart, there were no rails or hooks for the towels, the showerhead was broken, the sealant around the sink was missing, the coffee maker leaked, the kitchenette had no utensils, crockery, or pans, and the downstairs staff were indifferent and unhelpful. We won’t stay again.

We booked this hotel based on photos Expedia and Trip Advisor ratings, and were so disappointed we ended up leaving shortly after check in.

We checked in and were given attitude for not advising them of our daughters age (she’s 13).

The front of the hotel is not what is pictured, what is pictured is the private apartment part of the complex that this hotel is situated in. The front desk area and restaurant were under renovation, so no kitchen. We went for lunch while waiting for our room and found this out when we saw the staff from the restaurant leave, then return with take out bags from a place around the corner. This was confirmed when we payed two bills, one for our drinks and another for the food. Unsure how or what would have been served as breakfast?!

We got to our room, which was a one bedroom suite. There was no door on the bedroom, and it looked nothing like the photos-there was an ancient, stained kitchenette in one corner. My daughters pull out bed was a couch that folded its cushions onto the floor. There were tacky sticker decals with quotes from the movie Casablanca on the wall that were peeling off. The bathroom was so small that sitting on the toilet my arms were touching both the wall and shower enclosure (I’m 5’7” and 150 lbs), and the shower was maybe 2’ x 3’ in size. The bed was a double. The balcony was large and had a great view, but also looked down onto the neighboring apartment complex, so you saw everyone’s literal dirty laundry.

And speaking of laundry, we wanted to do ours because we were halfway through our trip, only to be told that it was also out of service. We packed up and checked out, telling the manager that what they represented amounted to false advertising, and we were canceling the rest of our stay. We gave over 24 hours notice for the remainder of the nights we had booked, and had opted to pay at property when we originally made the reservation, did not select a non-refundable booking option. We were recently told by Expedia after making a complaint and requesting a refund for the balance of the nights that the hotel was refusing to do so.

I’m not sure how other travelers had such a great experience, but beware that this hotel is nothing like what it says it is.

An excellent location for visiting the Hassan II mosque, just 5 minutes walk away. My studio on 7th floor had a great view of it from my balcony.

Otherwise the hotel feels old (definitely not brand new) with rooms functional but having rather drab decor. Positives were good water pressure in the shower and a Nespresso coffee maker in the room.

I had issues with my key card and kept having to go back to reception to reset it. Lifts can be slow. Breakfast was average at best, with unpleasant juice. It was more like a low budget salad bar. Omelets were decent though.

Although it was fine for a one night stay and reasonably priced, I think I would try an alternative hotel on my next visit.

The staff is neither welcoming nor smiling (reception and breakfast room), the kindness of the cleaning ladies raises the level. The bedding needs to be changed, the bathroom needs to be refreshed (door for example) Positive point: proximity to the Hassan 2 mosque. That's all.

beautiful view, but room is a bit dated. Floor very dirty so barefoot was not allowed.
Breakfast was little and not organized. Coffee machine was also broken.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was included, but if you wanted an egg or omelet you had to pay extra.

Hotel well located for starting excursions. Beautiful comfortable room, large bed. The bathroom is small and not very functional. The hotel services are good, however the staff is not welcoming at all. Breakfast (included) is not good. The buffet is not cooled and the various foods are exposed to the air and heat up, including dairy products and cold cuts. Fairly good quality/price ratio. Beware of taxi drivers in front of the hotel who will charge you double or triple the price for a trip.

Excellent location, professional and attentive staff, parking included, amazing view. We had a dinner at hotel restaurant, everything was super tasty. The service was fast, the restaurant is open until late. The breakfast was very rich, there was also a chef who was making omelets. Our room was very spacious appartment, located on the floor 7, with the wiew towards the Atlantic ocean and the Hassan II Mosque. I wish we could enjoy couple more days at Melliber. We will definitely be back again at this amazing hotel. It's highly recommended while in Casablanca. It's also near of old Medina,Rick's Cafe, and Marina shopping center, about 20 min. Walking. The taxi is not expensive in the city. About 20 Dirham to Medina.

The least expensive way is to take the train from the airport into the downtown station - Casa Voyageurs. The train station is one level below ground level, between Terminals One and Two. Look for the sign marked “Gare” (station.) You can see schedules at the Office National des Chemins de Fer du Maroc, ONCF It is a short taxi drive from the train station, and pretty much everyone knows the Hotel Meliber. Just tell the taxi driver it is near the Hassan II Mosque.
