I have always preferred this hotel to stay when I travel to La Ceiba, more because of the added value they have of taking you to and from the cabotage dock if you are going on a trip to the Bay Islands. Last week I had the opportunity to stay two different days, Tuesday and Saturday. On Saturday night they gave me the worst room they have offered me in the three years I have been visiting them, Room #106. This room on the first floor was super full of mosquitoes, I get more bites on my arms, face and legs from sleeping one night in this room than from spending 4 days on the beach. Inside the shower they have a yellow fabric curtain and as is logical, this curtain was full of a green fungus in its entire lower part, most likely due to the humidity stored in the bathroom and the water when one bathes. Also inside this same shower there is a frame to place shampoo, soap, etc. which had a lot of rust. It is worth mentioning that the attitude of the guy at Reception (who answered our call on Friday afternoon) left a lot to be desired. I make these observations so that you can improve the service you offer, since despite this, I consider that Las Hamacas is still an excellent hotel to stay at. Without further ado, I hope that when you return to your hotel you can leave behind this bad experience we went through.

We stayed for a night. Quiet hotel, nice pool. There are two restaurants on site, breakfast included. The best thing is that it is like 10 min away from galaxy wave if you need to take the ferry to Roatan.

Overnight good stop. Our room faced the main road. Had a mini balcony. Loud. Room was small for 4. VERY basic amenities. HOWEVER, it was clean. Big thing for me.
TV didn't work but that was okay, internet did and we were there just as an overnight trip before getting the ferry to Roatan.
The pool is gorgeous,
Breakfast. Get the tickets at the receptionist for that. Breakfast served in a canteen-type facility next to the hotel. 4 choice types. American (scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes), Typical Honduras breakfast( beans, honduran cheese, tortilla, eggs, chorizo, plantain, Continental (toast and fruits), and Cereal. A choice of hibiscus roselle, tamarind, or coffee.

We stayed for 3 nights, breakfast in a nearby restaurant was terrible and the reception staff was terrible. We didn't have a good time at all... hotel completely out of the way, noisy street. We asked for a change of dates and they immediately told us that it was impossible... when it was possible...

If you are going to Roatan or Utila and you need a place for spend the night, this is a perfect place. Cheap, clean and nice attention. Free wifi all over the hotel, nice beds and clean bathroom.
The give you free ride to the ferry port and you can leave you car in their parking lot all the time you need while you are in the islands, without additional cost (even if you stay just one night-- that's awesome).

It is a nice hotel with good service and comfortable. It is small in the rooms, however it is not a 5 star, yet I will say again it is a nice hotel and yes I would stay there again. Service makes a difference wherever you stay.

It's a good hotel located near the entrance of the city with very good prices and has good amenities around the hotel like pool, volleyball court. It's a very good option for all the people who wants to know La Ceiba.

Much like a scaled down budget motel in the states. It did seem somewhat clean and the people were friendly. Initially I was going to give them the benefit of being located in this poorer county but then my wife reminded me I haven't done that in the past when we've traveled out of the states. So that's why the poor rating. Now there were some pluses. It has a very nice pool area with a bar. Lots of places to set or lay in a hammock. There was also a pool and ping pong table. Included with the room was breakfast next door which was good with a large selection. The room was small with two double beds, you couldn't open the bathroom door all the way as it hit the sink. They're trying but still a ways to go.

9 people group. We missed the ferry to Roatan. So we came to this hotel 15 mins away from the dock. Pretty good service from the hosts, Carlos and Rommel. They offer us a room for the group and also allowed us to park our cars for 5 nights, and drive us and pick us at the dock. The attention and warmth of the people is awesome. The hotel has a very accesible price and ubication.
