This is my 4th time staying at this hotel and I have nothing but good things to say about it. For a dangerous city like ceiba the catracho hotel is a safe place to stay I never had any problems and the rooms are OK very nice actually when you see what you are paying for it. It has pool...

I would not recommend spending more time than necessary in La Ceiba but I had a full day there to catch an early shuttle. Checked into this very local hotel. For less than USD20, I got a simple room, attached bath, hot water, TV with international channels, a strong fan and great wifi connection in the lobby. It's barely walkable...

Compared to some of the other places we had stayed during our visit to Honduras this hotel based on cost and facilities, was okay to average. The only room we were able to get was air-conditioned, the room itself was clean but smelt a little mouldy as the window were fixed shut, the bathroom needed some cleaning and renovations (no...

We got in a bit late and the night staff wasn't welcoming at all. We were charged an additional 100 lempiras for having 3 people in a double room, the additional charge won't get you anything extra, no towel, soap or shampoo. Would not recommend, only reason to stay there is because you couldn't find anything else.

After an arduous 17 hour journey my wife and I turn up here about 9pm to be told they only have one top room left for 700 Lemps. A bit out of our budget we started to check our book for alternatives when the receptionist takes pity on us and tells us we can have it for 300 as long...

No frills hotel, bored receptionist, the cafeteria food so so... That said, it is ok for one night, the wifi in the lobby was ok, the room (fan, 450 HLN) was small but clean and quite cool. It is not very far from the Expatriates bar, which is pretty awful, plays loud music and the food is expensive and nothing...

The hotel is an inexpensive alternative if you want to stay in the city. Sure, there is some mold in the bathrooms, and it gets noisy early in the morning, and the staff are not very friendly. But it is close to downtown, AC is available, there is plenty of hot water, it is cheap, reasonably clean, and safe. If...

My biggest complaint about Hotel Catrachos has to do with the unfriendly staff (super mala honda). Even though I spoke Spanish, employees were never amicable or sociable. At the end of my trip I told the receptionist about the unfriendly atmosphere at the hotel, so I'm curious to see if anything changes. Wifi only works in the lobby, cafeteria is...

I write this while sitting in my room the Hotel Catracho. I have a Tigo mobile internet modem so I don't have to sit in the lobby like the folks who want to use the free wi-fi. Here are the straight facts: There is plenty of hot water in the shower but none in the sink. Anything that was smudged,...

I was directed to this hotel by another Trip Advisor member and it fulfilled our needs - mainly, it was cheap ($15 for a room with a double bed and fan). The room was okay, we were only provided one towel between the two of us (but I guess it's better than none at all, and we're traveling with towels...
