Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed two different nights. It's seems to be in a quiet area which is a plus but otherwise not a lot good to say about it. Wi-Fi stopped working on second stay. The floors are swept clean but socks and feet turn black... Old poorly installed AC unit in one, mini-split in the other. For the same or a little more a nicer hotel can be found. Rooms are quite large and the beds are comfortable. Towels are thread bare. I didn't see any security during either stay. Minimal parking. There are several places to eat just a short walk. Burger King, Popeyes and others. Staff was not pleasant although certainly not rude. They just did the minimum required.

Smelly Rooms, pillows were hard as a rock, AC stop and started continuously and made a lot of noise, bad wifi service! Hospitable personnel, and when asked for the breakfast, no cooking staff was available!

Room has small window unit A/C older model that MAKES LOTS OF NOISE and then stops cooling in the middle of the night but is still noisy. You have to turn it off for awhile for the unit to thaw and turn it back on. The room became really hot and woke up, I half awake due to the noise anyway. I came in so late and tired we didn't bother to try and change rooms. Other than that no decor in the rooms pretty much plain place. They need to update to mini split A/C or I will not stay here again.

It is with deep regret that I must lower my previous rating for this once great place to stay. Last night my room was broken into through the patio door while I was in the room. The response to this by the people on duty was extremely poor. First of all, the young man on the desk did not call the police, even though he said he did. It was not until several hours later that the police were called, and then only after my husband became insistent. There was absolutely no concern shown fore me, even though the man who robbed me knocked me down, and I am 72 years old. This morning, the manager finally arrived about 10 a m. She as much as accused me of lying about the theft, although later she did admit it was possible. It was only with much discussion did she agree to replace some of my stolen belongings and to help me in replacing my lost documents.

It was agreeed that they would change our room, although there is not, in my opinion, a safe room in this hotel. There are no security cameras outside the area where my room was located, only inside the hotel. There is no security guard. Even though I was in the hall screaming for help, no one came to see about me until I got to the lobby.

Before there have always been staff on the front desk who apoke English. That is no longer the case.

I will be looking for another hotel in Ceiba in the future.

We spent the night of 8/20/13 at this delightful, boutique style hotel, and were very pleased. The hotel staff was polite, caring and helpful. Most important, the hotel was very clean, no odors, no dirt in the corners, and NO noise. The desk staff speaks English. There is a small, clean restaurant on site, and fast food and restaurants are nearby. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and this is a full breakfast, not just toast and cereal. There is a well maintained pool in a private area.Cibeles is close to the Mega Mall and a smaller Mall where expats renew their residency cards. It is close to D'Antoni Hospital, and convenient to Medicentro Clinics. If you really want to go downtown, it is not very far away. We enjoyed our stay, and will certainly return whenever we go to La Ceiba. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV, unfortunately for me, no English channels.

This place is awful... For 60$ / night it's a disgrace... A/C makes a hell of a noise, wifi doesn't work and lights too.. The reception guy is incompetent and can't even book a cab... dont go there for more than one night!

Our mission team of 11 stayed here 8 nights. The staff are exceedingly helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The beds slept well and we got fresh towdls each day although they were not requested. We were also given bottled water each day as we left to go to set up a different medical clinic. The front desk staff will try to accomodate your needs with genuine kindness. We would definerely stay there again. The price is reasonable for the accomodation and the location is near restaurants and a market.

The hotel is Ok, not the best but worthy for the price, the pools is too small but at least you can rest there, you can get there without any problem is very close the city entrance. The staff was good but for sure they need to improve.

The hotel it's OK, it's confortable, at least.
My problem was, I had my luggage lost in a transfer to La Ceiba and I could not use the hotel's telephone to make a simple call. It was a telephone's company issue but the next door hotel, didn't have this problem. I also tried to use the lobby computer, which didn't have a mouse. In other words, I paid a lot of money for the hotel which didn't have for some reasons a telephone and neither a functional computer! The breakfast is a pice of crap, better if you walk to the fast food chains across the road. Two star just for the confortable rooms. Otherwise it would be one star!
