Stayed here for 5 nights and this place is paradise. The room was very clean and very spacious with all the amenities including TV, internet, air conditioning, etc. I elected the owners to prepare several meals for me and all were excellent. The sandy beach is right there and the pool is refreshing. I was looking for a relaxing vacation and am glad I stayed here. I really enjoyed lounging under the palapa and where I took most of my meals. I also spent hours boogie boarding and paddle boarding in the ocean. I also walked the beach to Sambo Creek and grabbed some snacks and a beer. I walked the road back to the resort and some amazing views of the lagoon and banana trees. My vacation was too short and look forward to coming back very soon to experience Cayos Cochinos and the Hot Springs. Thank you Cas and Tommy and Paradise Found for your hospitality and your delicious food!!

Tommy and Cassandra are just wonderful people! They provided our large group with breakfast and dinner for a full week. Every meal was delicious and different from the last. Each one sooooo tasty and served with all the fixins. Plus their dining location is beautiful and relaxing. I would totally recommend Paradise Found!

Paradise Found is the best place to experience the beauty of Honduras. Cas and Tommy are the best hosts and now I am happy to call them friends. I visited Costa Rica earlier this year and I have to say that Honduras has more to offer. I will be back

I really did not know what to expect when I arrived to La Paradise Found in La Ceiba. Based on the reviews of Honduras, I was very cautious and apprehensive. However, upon meeting Dante and Kristen, all my fears disappeared. They treated like family, took care of me and showed me the best of La Ceiba has to offer. Dante is an incredible chef who is skilled and talented. From a delicious breakfast to outstanding dinners, he always surprised me by his artistic touch when it comes to food. Kristen is the woman who ran the show and made sure that each person is taken care of. By far I had the best time ever in Honduras because of Dante and Kristen's hospitality. I had already made reservations with them for next year.

The area is about 20 minute drive (about USD20 by taxi) out of La Ceiba, right on the beach. It was meditative watching the waves in the morning and I loved my afternoon at the Sambo Creek Garifuna Village 10 walk away.
However, I was the only guest and it was hauntingly quiet. Unlike what is said on tripadvisor, there was no hot water, no wifi and no activities that you can arrange. I was pretty much left to the domestic help with little explanation about my surroundings and other essentials (eg general arrangements such as when the help arrives in the morning to make breakfast). Food is expensive, I was charged USD15 for lunch which was grilled fish and baked potato on the patio.
It's not a bad place but it would help having your own vehicle and be prepared to arrange your own activities and to explore the area on your own.
Also check out Hotel Helens 2 doors away that is significantly cheaper and has a full service bar and restaurant, and a very helpful bartender who offered to arrange activities for me.

We take all our reviews seriously, thank you for yours. When you stayed here, Paradise Found was closed, only open to friends and family. Sorry you were alone at the resort. We closed due to health reasons w/my wife. I was cheffing out on Cayos Cochinos at the time. Cheers, Dante´

We were visiting Sambo Creek for almost two weeks, and this place is for sure the best for eating, gazing at the caribbean ocean and for coziness. Situated above the beach, looking at the Cayos Cochinos in the horizon. Just sitting there, eating the best hamburger ever (all food is very delicious and not expensive at all) and enjoying the family-wibe from Kristin and Dante. Two loving people with a good sense of humour, funny stories and interesting knowledge about the Garifuna-community. We stayed at another place in the village, but visited several times "Paradise Found". And it is for sure paradise found! Good atmosphere and very concerning for their guests. We really enjoyed the food, the view and the company. Next time we have to stay here as well.

We spent 6 nights and loved every minute. Dante and Kristin took care of everything. They arranged for activities and transportation when needed, and Dante sometimes accompanied us. He made sure our needs were met, even walking the ladies to their rooms at the end of the evening. The atmosphere was very homey, and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests. We enjoyed competitive dart games in the evening, and there are other games as well (like dominoes). PF is a friendly place, and I'm recommending it to everyone I know who is considering a trip to Central America. As to the room, bed was good, shower was hot, AC worked. It's middle of the road accommodations--not a resort but not rough either. The beach was clean, and we particularly enjoyed white water rafting on the Rio Congrejal, zip-lining, the animal rescue center, and snorkeling Cayos Cochinos. Lots more to do, from waterfall hikes to touring the nature preserve.

I was traveling from Copan to Roatan and needed a place to stay for the night in La Ceiba. I was only planning on staying one night, but I ended up staying for an entire week. I finally made it to Roatan, but after a few days I returned for two more nights at Paradise Found. I could not get enough of the place. The food in outstanding, and Dante' and Kristen are like family. They have Tony, the on-site dive master, who will make sure that all of your snokeling and diving adventures exceed expectation. I have had the opportunity to travel all around the world, and it is places and people like these that truly make a memorable experience.

T. : We had a great time with you ALL week. Helping us feed 75 hungry disadvantaged children at the church in Sambo Creek is something we'll both remember forever. If you're ever close in your travels, come stay a while. Kristin and I genuinely enjoyed your presence here... can you say "GREAT KHARMA?"

In the midst of a Garifuna village, there's this absolutely wonderful place that I wish was just a little easier to get to, just a little more accessible to me here in the ol' US of A - Paradise (was totally) Found in Sambo Creek, La Ceiba. Dante and Kristin are fantastic hosts, extremely hospitable, and Dante makes the most amazing meals!
My friend and I booked diving trips to Cayos Cochinos with Tony and we stayed here. The bar/grille is a great little place (almost like large, funky treehouse) overlooking the Caribbean (and a cool place to finish your diving training questions/tests!), and the hotel has a comfortable bed with a hot water shower with good water pressure. Dante and Kristin are cool cats (or pirates!) and have some great stories to tell. I also appreciated the tips they had for my friend and I about the local law enforcement. Our first meal there was a burger and fries, and it was amazing! One of the best burgers I've ever had, with no skimping on the meat, the toppings, and there's a great sauce to go with it. The pizza (with everything) for dinner was awesome - possibly the size of my face, but probably larger. You would never, ever leave this bar and grille hungry if you go. I loved the vibe of this place, and while I'm not sure I'd ever end up in Honduras again, I definitely recommend this place to anyone who does go!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Paradise Found located right on the beach overlooking Cayos Cochinos islands for 12 days. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the two bedrooms tha the owners Kristin and Dante rent out. The rooms were really nice with a queen pillowtop bed, a/c, tv, fridge, safe, microwave and alot of storage to put away all our suitcases and clothes. There is even a laundry room on site. The property is beautifully landscaped and completly secure. They even have an armed guard that watches the property at night. The best part of Paradise Found were Kristin and Dante and their warm and welcoming personalities. They definetley went beyond the call of duty to make sure we had an amazing time. The food prepared by Dante personally is excellent. You will not find a better place to eat while visting the area. Everyday, Dante heads to La Ceiba to buy fresh ingrediants for the upcoming meals. The food is fresh and the portions are huge. I even ate salad every day as he buys hydroponic lettuce from Roatan. Some of the menu items include collosal hamburgers, baby back ribs, homemade lasagna, huge onion rings, etc.The beer is perfectly chilled, the wine is excellent and the rum is the best. The restaurant is in the palapa overlooking the Carribean. You will not find a better spot for your Honduras vacation. If you are staying at Helens, Le Canadian or any other area accomodations you will not want to miss a visit to Paradise Found. We recommend calling ahead if you are planning on having lunch or dinner so they know you are coming.
