Richard did everything to accommodate us. There were wifi problems, long waits for food and new bartenders that didn't know their drinks. Accommodations were very nice and the views magnificent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was kept spotless.

This was our second time here and it was even better than last time. Richard, the on-site British owner, has an eye for beauty and has built the perfect place to rest and relax in Honduras. The infinity pool is spectacular with a panorama of the Pico Bonito National Forest and the Rio Cangrejal down front. Occasional rafters and kayaks...

This was my 9th trip to Honduras, and my 8th trip to Villas Pico Bonito. This year we brought our 9 year old grandson. We spent 5 days at Villas Pico Bonito and 4 days on the island of Roatan. Our grandson says "Staying at Villas Pico Bonito was the best part of the trip". We met several people while...

This resort is located up in the hills near La Ceiba, Honduras. It is peaceful with lush grounds surrounding the rooms. There are a variety of rooms to choose from, so prices will vary. The pool area is lovely with beautiful scenery, and the food is great. If you are looking for some place to really "get away from it...

My husband and I visited Villas Pico Bonito just after Christmas and had such a fantastic time. The lodge is located in the most serene area one could ever imagine and to wake up with views of the river and waterfall in the distance is really special. Richard, the owner, picked us up and dropped us back at the airport...

What an amazing find! We are currently taking a year off work and backpacking in the region. We were torn between getting a cheap room in town and paying for daytrips in to the cloud forest or staying here. We absolutely made the right decision when we chose here. Richard the owner picked us up at the ferry terminal and...

So glad you can up the mountain to see us. Thanks for the good review. So many of the back packer community bypass one of the most beautiful places on earth and avoid the mainland of Honduras altogether. So many stories, so many rumors, yet so very different from all of that, is the plain and simple truth. You, as...

The owner is such a nice host and the property is gorgeous. The meals were amazing and the staff is extremely friendly. The road to get to the property is slow going but worth the half hour or so from La Ceiba. Highly recommend staying here if you want to spend some time in the mountains, possibly after a trip...

Thanks for the good review. A super holiday suggestion, unless you want to stay here 100% which we heartily recommend, is to travel as follows. Start in San Pedro Sula with its magnificent hotels, shop in the galleria and tour the city or fly into Roatan. From either of those airports it is very easy and not expensive to get...

We took our family of 7 to Honduras for Christmas. We spent 5 nights and 4 days at villas pico bonito. Richard the owner was very friendly and helpful in making our arrangements comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. The restaurant serves really delicious food at a very affordable price. Because we have 5 kids the restaurant was...

Thanks for the good review and we enjoyed having you stay with us. The new Restaurant is nearly finished and is being staffed so that we can improve service to all. The food will be just as good and we will be able to improve our service accordingly even in holiday periods where we are so very busy.

You'd never know that this hidden gem exists without a guide. Some friends took me here and I was blown away! It's a lengthy drive through unmaintained roads, but it's totally worth it. The staff is so friendly and the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. You can swim in the pools or the river and the restaurant has a delicious menu....

I don't normally take the time to write about vacation experiences but this place deserves an exception. The grounds are beautiful, the lodges are comfortable, the staff could not have been better. The bar and restaurant made staying there even better. Breakfast service was an unexpected option. The food and drink pricing plus the service made this a truly relaxing...
