An avid scuba diver and frequent visitor to Roatan, I had been to the Omega Jungle Lodge twice before. What was both times a wonderful, relaxing adventurous experience is now even better! Pleased to see they weathered the pandemic, I arrived to find owners Udo and Sylvia still the gracious totally helpful hosts they were before.

The lodge has some very nice new rooms.... spacious with large beds, beautiful bathrooms and small jungle balconies with hammocks. They are very reasonably priced for such a great unique lodging experience. The property is very well maintained and nestled in the rain forest. A fresh water pool, hammocks and the sound of birds and the jungle creeks surround you. Three onsite trails allow for short hikes through the jungle and orange and lime trees.

Whitewater rafting on the Rio Congregal is a must experience on a pristine crystal clear river amongst massive granite boulders with jungle covered mountains on both sides. The river is the boundary between two national parks! Safety is a top priority and our guides were fun, very professional and made it a great day. They have other excellent day adventures (which I have been on) and multi day trips deep into the jungle and La Moskitia (the wild Carribean coast). Check their excellent website for more info.

The kitchen is outstanding with delicious freshly prepared food very reasonably priced from breakfast to dinner. You even get a free breakfast the morning after the nights you stay. The jungle bar is a perfect place to unwind with a few spirits and beverages after a day of activity immersed in nature.

Getting there is easy. Just contact them and they will send a driver to the ferry to take you directly to the lodge. If you are coming to Roatan or in the area more than a standard week vacation, I cannot recommend Omega Jungle Lodge more highly. My only regret this time was we could not stay a few more days! I definitely encourage you to stay at least two nights there. It is a real gem and a special place to spend some time.

I will be back again soon for a longer stay! My thanks to Udo, Sylvi and all the super nice attentive staff at Omega Jungle Lodge!

This was our 2nd stay at Omega and it was the same as our first stay; fantastic! The setting in amongst the jungle is very tranquil and beautiful. The whole staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. A wide range of dishes offered.... all delicious. The rooms are very beautiful, clean and comfortable and have lots of wooden features and wide open windows to maximise the view of the surrounding jungle but without sacrificing on privacy. The pool and bar area is a great place to hangout in a hammock with a book. Lots of nice trails around the property to burn off lunch, ranging from 10 mins to 2 hours. It's only a 5 min walk to the river where you can swim, rock jump and relax whilst surrounded by the running waters, huge boulders and steep jungle hillside. Mimi, one of the owner's dogs, came with us to the river all afternoon and showed us all the sights... Such a sweetheart. For sure we'll be back.

Arriving here feels like you are being welcome to a friends house. Every person here takes pride in their position and you can see they genuinely love working there. The location feels great, you think your in another world, the pool, food and rooms are great, quite cool at night, sleeping in a room with large screen windows was magical.
Having drinks and food around the bar was fun, the owner, bar tender, other guests all engaged in fun conversations!

We traveled as a group of 13 from Roatan, Honduras for a short getaway. We stayed in the Bamboo cabin, which is like a tree house, and located behind the main reception area. Very spacious and clean. Stairs to the upper bedroom are steep, so make sure if you plan to use it, the person can easily climb up & down, especially if they wish to use the washroom during the night. Blankets were also provided as it does get colder at night. Suggest taking warm clothes for that reason as well, shorts are fine during the day when the sun is out.
We did the whitewater rafting tour (there were 4 rafts to accommodate all of us) and their guides were excellent, from the safety talk by Josh (the best one I've seen for a long time) and throughout the ride to the bottom. We added the 1-hour hike to the waterfall which was very enjoyable, but not suitable for someone with any knee problems, as it's not a flat path.
Very good options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the quality was good as well. Good variety of drinks (and you can bring your own for your room).
All in all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

An amazing place. So different from the hustle and bustle of La Ceiba and only 25mins away. A short 20min flight from the islands makes Omega the perfect place to take a break from the beautiful beaches and reefs of Honduras and adding it to your itinerary will round out your tip to this amazing country. Very affordable and yet surprisingly luxurious. I highly recommend the toucan room. As its name suggests, you have a high probability of seeing toucans from your balcony or even from your bed. We had 8 in the tree just out the window one afternoon. I also highly recommend the river trekking and whitewater raft tour. Despite having low water levels the trip includes some smaller fun rapids, cliff jumping and history of the river and pico bonito area provided by highly experienced local guides. I also recommend the horse back riding. Over 4 hours the guide will take you at a leisurely pace through local villages and onto private land, through orchards to a hidden stream with a small water fall where you can swim in crystal clear spring water clean enough to drink.

The food was great. A bit eclectic, the menu is a mix of german and traditional Honduran dishes but nice to get a queso fundido con frijoles and some bratwurst with home made mustard. The staff is relaxed and always available from 6am-9pm whether you want coffee, a pina colada or your breakfast (included in the room) packed to go for your horse back riding adventure.

We had a great time saw lots of animals, swam many times in the river and the natural on site spring fed swimming pool and relaxed in the peace and serenity of the modern and lavish accommodations set in the astonishingly lush and rugged landscape ofrio cangrejal,

Omega Eco Lodge was wonderful. We stayed in the Toucan room and literally watched toucans in the tree right outside our room while laying in hammocks. The details in the design and decoration of the room were amazing - handmade furniture and recycled materials. The restaurant was great as well - many options available for the included breakfast - ranging from typical Honduran breakfast, to American breakfast, to German breakfasts! Coffee is of course delicious! Extensive menu options for lunch and dinner as well at reasonable prices. Staff so friendly and accommodating. We did one of the hike tours up to the cascade with a very knowledgeable guide. It was a difficult hike but well worth it. The property is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed it very much.

I have been going to this place my whole life and I can honestly say that is has the most wonderful and kind people working there. The attention to detail and the service is incredible. The food never disappoints and the rooms are so comfortable and unique. The jungle and river surrounding it is truly breath-taking. Its not a trip to Honduras if you don’t stay at Omega Lodge.

Omega is the most beautiful hidden paradise we have ever come across. Tucked into the mountains & jungle is the most luxurious lodge, offering stunningly clean rooms, an exquisite restaurant & lovely pool, surrounded by nature. The owners attention to detail is very commendable. The rooms all have artistic features & the food really is outstanding!. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend it enough!.

Omega Tours is a wonderful, clean, hospitable place to stay and try some amazing activities that are available. I brought a variety of employees, friends and family for my most recent visit for an entire week. We rented two cabins and one of the rooms. (In the past we've stayed in rooms as well as in the Creek House, highly recommend the Creek House at Omega as well.) Things I want to make sure to note:

Rooms: clean, cozy, beautiful and resourcefully built. Omega builds their own furniture, lamps, structures and so on with thoughtfulness in mind.

Food: What a variety of food! Vegetarians are welcome here. You can find Honduran, German and American food. None of our group, or us during any prior visit, has had any problems with stomach upsets while visiting here. There is so much fresh fruit available and wonderful juice and smoothies. I find all the prices reasonable, but you can eat dinner from a lite dinner/snack for $4 up to maybe $12 - $13? The portions are sizeable and try whatever the special is when one is available.

Bar: The bar service is spot on, and if you have a chance try the margarita with Omgea's homemade sweet and sour.

Activities & Tours: We've done whitewater rafting, hiking to the waterfall, boating, kayaking the Lagoon, snorkeling at Cayos Cachinos, Ziplines, lunch and hot springs in Sambo Creek, 4X4 Cultural tour, and more. A few people traveling with me had massages and raved about them! The guides at Omega are fun yet still quite aware of a guest's safety. Nothing is compromised when it comes to safety. Read the descriptions of what is available on the website and make a tentative plan ahead of time, but be flexible due to possible weather or other logistic issues.

Community & Staff: It's obvious the owners of Omega tours care about their staff. We first visited over 4 years ago and most of the same people still work there. They care about the community in their area and provide for local schools and jobs for many people in the area. As a small business owner myself, I find this to be a noble quality.

Hands down, Omega Tours is the place to go if you want to explore the Canajraila River near LaCeiba Honduras. I know my family will be returning!

We were traveling for two weeks, so we had a bus and driver. My understanding is that they'll send a driver to San Pedro Sula for between $25 and $35 USD. Awesome place to stay, though!
