The lodge has some very nice new rooms.... spacious with large beds, beautiful bathrooms and small jungle balconies with hammocks. They are very reasonably priced for such a great unique lodging experience. The property is very well maintained and nestled in the rain forest. A fresh water pool, hammocks and the sound of birds and the jungle creeks surround you. Three onsite trails allow for short hikes through the jungle and orange and lime trees.
Whitewater rafting on the Rio Congregal is a must experience on a pristine crystal clear river amongst massive granite boulders with jungle covered mountains on both sides. The river is the boundary between two national parks! Safety is a top priority and our guides were fun, very professional and made it a great day. They have other excellent day adventures (which I have been on) and multi day trips deep into the jungle and La Moskitia (the wild Carribean coast). Check their excellent website for more info.
The kitchen is outstanding with delicious freshly prepared food very reasonably priced from breakfast to dinner. You even get a free breakfast the morning after the nights you stay. The jungle bar is a perfect place to unwind with a few spirits and beverages after a day of activity immersed in nature.
Getting there is easy. Just contact them and they will send a driver to the ferry to take you directly to the lodge. If you are coming to Roatan or in the area more than a standard week vacation, I cannot recommend Omega Jungle Lodge more highly. My only regret this time was we could not stay a few more days! I definitely encourage you to stay at least two nights there. It is a real gem and a special place to spend some time.
I will be back again soon for a longer stay! My thanks to Udo, Sylvi and all the super nice attentive staff at Omega Jungle Lodge!

Having drinks and food around the bar was fun, the owner, bar tender, other guests all engaged in fun conversations!
We did the whitewater rafting tour (there were 4 rafts to accommodate all of us) and their guides were excellent, from the safety talk by Josh (the best one I've seen for a long time) and throughout the ride to the bottom. We added the 1-hour hike to the waterfall which was very enjoyable, but not suitable for someone with any knee problems, as it's not a flat path.
Very good options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the quality was good as well. Good variety of drinks (and you can bring your own for your room).
All in all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it.
The food was great. A bit eclectic, the menu is a mix of german and traditional Honduran dishes but nice to get a queso fundido con frijoles and some bratwurst with home made mustard. The staff is relaxed and always available from 6am-9pm whether you want coffee, a pina colada or your breakfast (included in the room) packed to go for your horse back riding adventure.
We had a great time saw lots of animals, swam many times in the river and the natural on site spring fed swimming pool and relaxed in the peace and serenity of the modern and lavish accommodations set in the astonishingly lush and rugged landscape ofrio cangrejal,
Many thanks to the entire team.

Rooms: clean, cozy, beautiful and resourcefully built. Omega builds their own furniture, lamps, structures and so on with thoughtfulness in mind.
Food: What a variety of food! Vegetarians are welcome here. You can find Honduran, German and American food. None of our group, or us during any prior visit, has had any problems with stomach upsets while visiting here. There is so much fresh fruit available and wonderful juice and smoothies. I find all the prices reasonable, but you can eat dinner from a lite dinner/snack for $4 up to maybe $12 - $13? The portions are sizeable and try whatever the special is when one is available.
Bar: The bar service is spot on, and if you have a chance try the margarita with Omgea's homemade sweet and sour.
Activities & Tours: We've done whitewater rafting, hiking to the waterfall, boating, kayaking the Lagoon, snorkeling at Cayos Cachinos, Ziplines, lunch and hot springs in Sambo Creek, 4X4 Cultural tour, and more. A few people traveling with me had massages and raved about them! The guides at Omega are fun yet still quite aware of a guest's safety. Nothing is compromised when it comes to safety. Read the descriptions of what is available on the website and make a tentative plan ahead of time, but be flexible due to possible weather or other logistic issues.
Community & Staff: It's obvious the owners of Omega tours care about their staff. We first visited over 4 years ago and most of the same people still work there. They care about the community in their area and provide for local schools and jobs for many people in the area. As a small business owner myself, I find this to be a noble quality.
Hands down, Omega Tours is the place to go if you want to explore the Canajraila River near LaCeiba Honduras. I know my family will be returning!
