Iguana Azul is a great go to for groups of travelers or backpackers. It's a couple of blocks from downtown, which provides for a quiet night's sleep after an action packed day. We had a group and were able to have a private room just for our group. Even when the power went out city wide, causing the water supply...

Great hostel. Only stayed one night as we were passing through on our way to the Bay Islands but really liked the hostel. The dorm rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hostel had lots of useful information about the area and where to eat etc. Showers and toilets were also clean and unlike other hostels, the showers had a...

We stayed just for one night, but what a perfect night. The hostel is 5 minutes walking from the center, that makes the place really calm. There was not a single sound all night long, the room was completely dark thanks to the blinds, and the bed was really comfortable, so we had a 10 hours night, first time in...

There are a lot of hotels in Copan Ruinas, but as it's a beautiful town that caters to tourists, many of them are more expensive than what a backpacker would typically go for. So if you're traveling cheap, go to Iguana Azul. It has comfortable dorms, lots of bathrooms, a friendly and knowledgeable young manager, and is in a decent...

Great hostel on the edge of the village, you can easily walk to the centre of town and there is a cafe next door. The place is very clean and has shower/toilet/sink under a covered awning outside. It is a bit tight on lounging space for the number of beds, and could use a kettle so travellers can make a...

Thoroughly recommend this place. Clean, comfortable, spacious dorm rooms. Pleasant common area. Bathrooms are novel with separate cubicles in a row outside. Very attractively presented. Service is outstanding. Breakfast in the cafe attached is second to none. Especially with the spectacular views over the Copan Valley.

We stayed here for over a week and our private room became our second home. Inside the room, the big windows let in a cool breeze and the fan made sleeping very pleasant. I hung my clothes up and there was tons of space to stow our luggage out of the way, and a nice desk for computer work. Outside...

I spent two nights here during my second visit to Copan Ruins. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed had a nice warm blanket. The bathroom facilities are outside the bedroom area and all sinks are public, but as it was not overly crowded during my stay that wasn't a problem. I really appreciated that they provided towels,...
