Jade Seahorse is a truely amazing place. Every corner of the garden has its own hidden secrets, no-one can walk by without noticing the fine glass, stone, ceramic and crazy details. We spent our honeymoon in one of the cute and colorful cabins and Jo and Tony (the current managers) had done an excellent time decorating the room with flowers,...

The Jade Seahorse costs more than most places on Utila. You are paying a premium to stay inside a work of art. For the cost, you might expect a few more amenities - comfortable beds for example - but you aren't going to get it. The cleanliness was a little lacking too. Still, you just can't help be bowled over...

On my 3rd trip to Utila ('04, '05 & '08) I stayed at the Nightland Cabins at the Jade Seahorse. The scene is like a dream. Night after night will go by and you'll still find new things to look at. The scenery is amazing. I also give some kudos to Neil Keller, the owner. I was in a spot...

The Jade Seahorse is wonderful. Turn off the street and walk through the gates to a very unique experience. Walk through the property and check out the art at every turn. Around the walksways glass and tile are pressed into concrete at all sorts of angles and in all sorts of colors. Walk through the tunnel and see the skewed...

This is the most unique place I have ever stayed or been in my life. Loved the atmosphere, loved the people, loved the scenery. I would highly recommend staying here if you are anywhere near the area. This unique lodging and bar are second to none, would definitely come back, thank you so much for the good times.

We have just had a wonderful time at the Jade Seahorse and it is everything all the previous reviews have said. You really do have to see it to believe. There are people who come into the grounds just to view the kalaidiscope of colours and textures but you really need to spend time there to really appreciate all the...

I can't imagine a better way to spend my time on Utila. My fiancee and I had a wonderful time at the Jade Seahorse, which is -- by far -- the best hotel on the island. We had a great room with a good view, good breezes passing through and gorgeous decor. Neil and his family are great hosts and...

I love the Nightland Cabins. I have stayed there three times now and all of my experiences have been amazing. This place is a true sanctuary for my husband and I. After our first visit in the Summer of 2005, we decided to get married at the Jade Seahorse. Our entire family stayed there and with the help of Neil...

i've been waiting until i'd stayed at this hotel more than once so i could give a fair and balanced review , ...so here goes, as other reviewers have stated the decor of this place is incredibly interesting - picture gaudi on an acid trip. the owner responsible for the decoration is certainly an artist . but beneath all the...

No doubt this guest did slip on a walkway, and we apologize for the rainy season, but the gentleman's room was never vandalized, nor did it leak. Safe boxes are provided, and windows are barred, insuring high security, We take particular issue with our guest's architectural critique. Our cabins are hand built by experienced island craftsmen, from selected cured pine...

Nightland sits on a hill beneath the caribbean sky, surrounded by old tamarind trees. Designed by an artist, the cabins reflect a unique architectural style inside and out. Gardens cascade down the hill toward the Jadeseahorse restaurant and Treetanic bar, an elevated ship's deck built between three huge mango trees. Utila welcomes you! ... more   less
