Just back from a family vacation to Roatan. First trip there and we will be back! This lodge is certainly off the beaten track. Best to have a high clearance vehicle (we had a mid size SUV) to go in and out as the road can be a bit challenging, especially if it is raining. Buy your groceries on the...

This was a return trip to Roatan and to Palmetto for our "skipping Christmas Holiday" with our adult children. Our Christmas gift to them. If you want night life and excitement, this is NOT the place for you. However, if you want to be off the beaten track, relax, revitalize and spend quality time with those you want to reconnect...

Palmetto Bay Resort stretches the imagination. It is not a Resort as I know. The home is in excellent condition! Very nice home, comfortable, full kitchen and laundry! AC in the bedrooms only, not much breeze reaches the home. Lisa, the NEW property manager is very nice, completely trust worthy, wants your stay to be very pleasant. The grill on...

We just spent a week at Palmetto Bay with 3 children and loved it. Our rental home was beautifully decorated, well stocked with towels, kitchen appliances, movies and games. If you are looking to be "in the action" this may not be the right spot for you - but if you are looking for privacy, beauty of the tropical jungle,...

This is not a resort, houses are owned by individuals (Receptionist told us this), and they pay for maintenance, some of they don't pay, and service is not available for everybody. No A/C, no WiFi, no housekeeping service. Poor hygiene, no perimeter security. Terrible road access. Impossible to leave the place in case of emergency. Poor administration. No body responsible...

What an enjoyable Christmas & New Year's Vacation my family and I just finished at Palmetto Bay Plantation. We enjoyed 14 beautiful days. The location and setting were perfect for us. Palmetto Bay's isolated and quiet setting fit our needs perfectly. The beach, if there were dozen people there, it was busy. The diving through Black Pearl Divers was amazing...

This place is really an unspoiled gem. If you seek relaxation away from tourists, this s the place to go. The diving crew was exceptional and the resort was super low key. The 2 different homes we stayed in were close to the beach and the staff was amazing! The bar is fun and the restaurant catered to our every...

We spent the past 10 days on a relaxing trip to Roatan at the Resort at Palmetto Bay. The Resort at Palmetto Bay is the perfect location to get away from it all and soak in the sights and sounds of tropical paradise. Be sure to take time to notice the spectacular, breath-taking view of the shoreline as you approach...

Great, quiet place to stay! Very peaceful and quiet. The staff were great, especially Gilroy and Eric. On our last night they had a Garifuna dance show which was great. Food was also delicious. The resort is a preserve for birds and animals so there are plenty, including land crabs, bats, woodpeckers, guatusas, and lots of hummingbirds. There are lots...

Quite a pleasant setting, but facilities pretty rustic for the price. It is a long drive to town/shopping and you are captive to the resort for food and drink. If you like to be around bars, restaurants & action, I suggest West End/West Bay.
