We didn't stay at Upachaya because we preferred to be next to the ocean. Although, by the end of the day, we wanted to check the accommodations out and we love it here. Very organic and absolutely stunning place. What a gem? Everything is loved here and well taken care of. It was such a joy to go over the...

I have been to Upachaya several times. My husband and I love it! I am telling anyone that needs to Regroup, and rejuvenate mentally, spiritually and physically....this is the place to do it. If you want solitude or you want to go snorkeling, diving, or go swimming in the pool. It is there for you! Barbara is fabulous, and The...

Upachaya was such a relaxing place with great people. I don't think there is anywhere else in Roatan with a more gracious host. Barbara is willing to help with anything you want to do and has great contacts all over the island. If you want a more personal, less touristy location to relax and enjoy, this is the place. My...

My Husband and I did the Snorkel and Kayak adventure as a shore excursion during our cruise. The driver was prompt, everything was near and professional and the place was GORGEOUS. This place is truly a hidden gem. The only issue we had was more on us, we weren't skilled enough to snorkel for very long. The waters are choppy...

Thank you for joining us at Upachaya. There are days when the waters are as calm as glass, and it does make viewing the marine life a bit easier. Unfortunately we have no control over that, but in spite of the chop you experienced, I'm glad you enjoyed it just the same. The reef is beautiful by Upachaya simply because...

I booked a snorkel tour with my wife and 9 year old son at Barbara's beautiful resort while on a Carnival Cruise. We were provided clear easy directions to the shuttle and quickly arrived at the wonderful resort. Barbara, the owner, served us herbal tea and lemonade as we were fitted for snorkel gear. There was just the three of...

My wife and I were on the Carnival Splendor and booked the kayak and snokel tour online outside of Carnival. We were met outside the entrance of Mahogany Bay by our driver with one other couple from another cruise ship. It was a short 20 minute ride to the beautiful lodge. We met the delightful owner Barbara and were escorted...

Folks usually say about a Bed and Breakfast that "they sure take good care of you", but I'm here to tell you (like most of the reviews dictate) Barb and her crew "REALLY TAKE CARE OF YOU!!!! From the moment they pick you up at the airport or harbor port it's just one personal and great experience for you. It's...

What a hidden oasis! We booked our tour with Barb online before our arrival. They picked us up at our resort and shuttled us to the Eco lodge. We arrived before the other four guests so we walked around and enjoyed some Lemonade. Barb is very knowledgeable and informative. She has done an amazing job on the grounds. Flowers, plants,...

Mom, Dad, 18 year old stayed here for a week. This is a hidden gem. It is quiet and away from all the crowds. Not to worry though, Barb will transport you anywhere anytime. Kayaking and snorkeling is great here. Meals are great. Barb will point you to the best POA's on the island when the ships will not be...

We did the snorkel/kayak combo during a Carnival cruise in January. It was our favorite excursion and we have already talked about going back just to stay at the lodge. The pickup from the port is super easy and drive is quick. Once you get to the lodge, you get a tour of the grounds from Barbara that includes lots...
