Visiting this village was a great, interesting, and fun experience! I highly recommend visiting. We visited for the day, first stopping with our guide at the seven alters nearby. Then we walked through the jungle to the village. The hike was really great, but very hot! We saw a lot of interesting vegetation and our guides were very knowledgable, although...

I had the pleasure to visit this beautiful little community not long ago and fell in love with the village. The feeling of the collective community is so simple and sweet. Hotel flor de maya is runned by a local comunity nearby Livingston in the middle of the jungle. It is a really nice place to know more about there culture by eating the local food, watching one of the ceremonies or by making a jungle hike. This is THE place to be if your goal is to get in touch with the native population! The hotel is part of a quechi community and totally run by them. While staying here, you support the local economy.
