I have traveled considerably and have never stayed in a hotel that is more pleasant. The gardens complement the setting on the lake surrounded by volcanoes. The rooms are clean, quiet and well appointed. The food is great, with an abundance of local fruits and foods available. Everyone is so friendly and ready to drop whatever they are doing to...

We took shuttle to Panajachel , and crossed Lake Atitlan from there, we should have bargained for the private boat as we paid 450Q ($60.USD) when we should have paid 300Q or take the local ferry for 25Q. When we arrived the reservation we booked directly months before could not be found. Fortunately they had a very nice room #3...

Our room was far too hot. No room amenities. No minibar, TV, air con, hair dryer. Beds were far too hard. Service questionable and price too much for what we received. Room wasn't properly cleaned. Pool was dirty. An overall poor and disappointing experience.

Delicious food, and wonderful staff. Sitting right on the lake - wonderful place to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Wonderful view of the city and lake. The food was great, I even got the Pizza - not NY pizza but pretty darn good. Guacamole was to die for.

Missed the road to our destination, but was this such a jewel. Beautiful cabanas with lush gardens and a stunning view of the town at night and the volcanoes by day. I can't wait for another trip there.

We stayed for three nights at Hotel Bambu, especially enjoying the deck with its view of the lake, the town, and the volcanos, as well as taking advantage of the hotel pool, walking through the lovely gardens, and watching the birds. The hotel staff helped us hire a boat and driver to take us to several towns around the lake,...

Verdant resort on the shores of Lake Atitlan. We stopped here for lunch and enjoyed the stone footpaths through the bamboo groves. The restaurant is situated on the waterfront, offering an entertaining and relaxing view of the town's little harbor and beach. Food was not earthshattering, but quite decent.

The hotel is located just outside the hustle and bustle of Santiago in a park like setting and close to the lake. Our room was one of 2 in a chalet and had a generous size. Restaurant serves dinners and good breakfasts. A Tuk tuk took us to the centre of town for a nominal sum. The hotel has a...

We took the public boat across Lake Atitlan from Panajachel to Santiago! We took a tuc tuc to the hotel! We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful flower and plant life throughout the facilities! Great views of the most beautiful lake in the world surrounded by volcanoes! The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices! Keep this in mind when...

SUCH beautiful grounds, it was like a botanical garden! Scented, flowering scrubs and many specimen plants in natural, harmonious landscaping. Nice pool, sweet staff, tastefully decorated, clean, and HUGE room with a palapa roof. Laying in bed looking up at the patterns it made was almost meditative. Plenty of really hot water, which is a bit of a rarity in...
