While the outside is unbelievable amazing the rooms and the food quality do not match it at all. The service is nice , the staff is kind and smiling but all other interior do not fit. Still you have to come and visit.

First, the hotel decoration is unbelievable....every corner is carefully designed to make the visual impression simply stunning. Our room, a junior suite was large and also beautifully decorated. No AC however...which on a hot day, despite the cool night could make the room very warm. Service throughout the hotel was very good. The restaurant however was not very good. Food...

I was at Hotel Atitlan for a girls' trip. We had been in Guatemala for a week and stayed our last 2 nights here. The location is breathtaking with the lake and volcanoes in the background. The Hotel has an old mission style. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend a room with a garden/lake view! We spent...

I stayed at Hotel Atitlan for 2 nights, and enjoyed my stay there. The best part of the hotel for me was the location and the gardens. It is situated right next to the lake, and when the sky is clear you get a wonderful view of the lake and surrounding volcanoes. The hotel property has some of the most...

Hotel is about a 4 hour drive from Guatemala City. Hotel is two story and has 24 hour manned entrance. Met folks from the US, Europe and Israel. We stayed on the first floor in room 103 which I would recommend. Attached are pictures of the view from the front doorway of the room and from the back patio of...

I really wrestled with where to spend the second half of our weeklong stay in Guatemala after four nights in Antigua: Hotel Atitlan or Casa Palopo (at one point I had reservations at both). Ultimately, I chose Hotel Atitlan, despite the mixed reviews here, due to its expansive grounds, larger swimming pool, and the look of the Master Suite room...

What a beautiful place. Rooms were lovely and looked out onto the lake and 3 volcanoes. Grounds were manicured almost like an English garden and were absolutely beautiful. There were many walking trails to view the grounds. Make sure and take a boat ride on the lake.

Super situation: gardens and lake views as great as everyone says. Rooms a good size with nice balconies and really stunning views across the lake. Clean. A lot of religious ornaments - everywhere - we found hotel a bit dour. We found the food ok but nothing very special. The staff were attentive though not enormously friendly. The hotel seemed...

The outstanding part of staying at this hotel is the manicured, lush, exquisitely cared for gardens. There are multiple varieties of flowers, topiaries and greenery at every turn. There are tables to sit at within various spaces in the gardens to just sit and enjoy. In case you would like some entertainment, there are parrots which will greet you with...
