Rooms are huge with fireplaces for when it gets chilly and are beautifully decorated with strong local character. The well kept rooms and communal areas, amazing garden at the rear, are all maintained by the friendliest of hosts. Very close to the central market. No breakfast though - head to the villa de los cofrades on the central square for...

From the outside this place looks like the entrance to a prison.  However, once you get let into the gate you are transported into another world! We arrived without a reservation and were shown an amazing room. Really big with a beautiful terrace with a wonderful view and for a great price (approx 33USD). Easy walkable distance to the main...

This place is worth the hype. The rooms are great - clean, spacious, and decorated in a pretty Mayan style. We had a fantastic night sleep here. Room 6 and 7 have a lovely shared balcony overlooking a pretty garden. Location is very good, just north of the market, and the owner is a really nice guy as are the...

Even though we stayed only one night, we felt like the place was our home. The room we stayed in was very big, clean and beautifully decorated. The posada also has a nice garden and some of the rooms have a small balcony overlooking it. The atmosphere in general is extremely relaxing. The owners of the posada are helpful, friendly...

My 10-year old and I just returned from a 6-day stay at El Arco. Don Pedro, Dona Emilsa, y Dona Silvia made us feel like members of the family. They were so accommodating to every little request and they smiled graciously as we stumbled through our less than perfect Spanish. We were in room 6--an enormous room with two double...

Gracias Pedro y Emilsa. We loved staying at Posada de Arco. The room was large (7) with a great balcony that overlooked the wonderful garden. For a charge, they picked us up from the Guatemala City airport and we stopped for dinner at Restaurante Rincon Suiza on the way to Chichi. One of our favorite times was having breakfast with...

Stayed here for 2 nights last week. I just loved coming back to this space. Room was very large, clean, water hot. Gorgeous large garden in back overlooking the city was quiet and a peaceful place to relax. There was a working fireplace which was set up for us for about $3. I recommend highly and especially at this price....

Lovely place, lovely people indeed -- this hotel is a bit off the beaten path (a few blocks from the main square) compared to some of the nicer hotels in town, but we really enjoyed this place. The owner and the lady managing the day-to-day were wonderful folks. The room was huge, decorated in Mayan textiles and local crafts, and...

Very nice hotel, large room, number 7 definitely the best with balcony over the town and mountains. No breakfast for 250Q but a very good real coffee with friendly conversation with the helpful landlady.
