Beautiful property with thousands of artifacts decorating the walls. Interesting architecture, beautiful gardens and pool area, very friendly and helpful staff, secure parking. Good food. Breakfast included in rate. Good location only a few blocks to the center of the market. In room fireplace is quite nice on the chilly nights in Chichi. Real hot water in the showers heated...

This hotel is magnificent and worth staying in just to look at all the museum pieces artfully placed around the hotel. It is a work of art in itself and no pictures can really do it justice. The rooms are stunning and very comfortable - with fireplaces in some - and exceptionally clean. The gardens are a delight [though I...

While I had sent an email about a month prior asking to make a reservation, and was told "there was no room at the inn", we decided to chance it anyway and just go. Of course, we wanted to be in Chichi for the Sunday market, and as such arrived the day before. There MAY have been 5 other rooms...

We stayed at the hotel 4 nights in July. The staff were wonderful and seemed to understand english well. The decor in the rooms and around the hotel is very interesting. They have mini 'collections' scattered around the many winding outdoor halls. The hotel is large and you can explore many different areas. There is a large meeting room available...

We traveled to Chi-Chi this last April and were delightfully surprised at this hotel. The staff speaks reasonable english, they were helpful and polite. The restaurant served a great fish dish. You request a fire in your rooms fireplace, it is just over a dollar and is a great experience. Request the king size bed as the double is a...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights, including a day in the market and the remarkable Catholic/Mayan Cathedral where both religions share room before marching out the saint's statutes. The hotel is in excellent shape, sprawling through so many directions that the first exploration is not easy. There is no elevator and the third floor is a fair...

We spent one night at this hotel in anticipation of visiting the much celebrated Chichicastenango market. Santo Tomas is perhaps one of the more popular lodges, and the large tourist buses that arrive throughout the day are proof. Our rooms were comfortable and large. My room, #31 faced the back street, and while I thought it would be quiet, it...

You go to Chichi for the market, and the night before you stay in town to avoid the early morning tourist bus rush. There are other things well worth doing in Chichi and I review them elsewhere. The Santo Tomas can only be described as unusual. Donia Inez has been adding on to this place for years. It goes on...

Our room had a king bed and fireplace - much needed that cool June evening! Both sides of the room opened into the courtyard, a more desirable location than rooms with windows onto the street. There is a comfortable bar/sitting area with wireless internet access. Dinner at the restaurant was barely adequate, but breakfast was decent. Note: beginning about 4...

I stayed here with my family for one night and the experience was unpleasant. For starters, the hotel was filled to the brim with images of saints and religious artifacts even in the room, to the point of being quite creepy (there were religious statues and a priest's soutane in my room). The room was very dusty and cold. The...
