Sabal Beach is by far one of the best places to unwind and recharge. This secluded property is simply beautiful and the cabana is the perfect beach accommodation. You really have the place all to yourself, so if you are looking to find a place to get away from the typical tourist spots, this is it. David and Wayne are...

We absolutely enjoyed our New Years stay at Sabal Beach, it was wonderful and just what we needed. We stayed 3 nights and could have easily stayed a few extra days at Sabal Beach. The beach was ours entirely, we read books in the hammocks by the beach while listening to the sound of the ocean and birds. This place...

This is a very special place and worth the trip. The boat ride from Placencia is a great adventure through the mangroves and might be thought of as a sightseeing tour of the region. David and Wayne (and Sofia) are all a pleasure. They are very attentive to the needs of their guests and dress extremely nice (we'd expect no...

This is a secluded getaway with a wonderful remote atmosphere for people who want to get away from the crowded feeling that encompasses so much of today's world. You are able to sit for hours on the beach or head out to see howler monkeys or snorkle on the reef. Lunch down the beach in Punta Negra is a must!...

What can be said about Sabal Beach that hasn't already been stated numerous times over? Sabal Beach is a very unique location. Situated just 45 minutes from Placencia by boat and 45 minutes from the second largest barrier reef in the world, this place is secluded, peaceful, and breathtaking. David and Wayne were great hosts, making sure we had a...

Just a 45 min boat ride away from Punta Gorda you find a hidden treasure! The accommodation is lovely, a great wooden cabana with everything you need in it. The hosts David and Wayne are among the nicest and most accommodating people I have ever met. Activities include kayaking, swimming, walking on the long and beautiful beach or just laying...

Our time at David and Wayne's was perfect. As others have mentioned - it is off the grid so please leave your wifi hopes and dreams at home. The beach is perfect, the water is warm and welcoming (a little choppy in the afternoons). It was the low key, slow paced with perfect weather and good company. You truly feel...

This location is just outstanding. We have traveled throughout Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica. We definitely enjoy getting off the grid re: no big parties, less technology, quiet, secluded/private. Sabal Beach provided ALL of that. Think you've been way out there, yet still feel safe and comfortable? That is Sabal Beach in a nutshell. Understand, you aren't going to...

We take several vacations a year, but almost always never go to the same place twice. Sabal Beach is one place, however, where we couldn't wait to go back. This was our second time to visit and, as always, David and Wayne were excellent hosts. We spent much of our time simply relaxing, which is what makes this destination so...

With the new addition to your family, I doubt we will see you three years in a row but it was great to have you at Sabal Beach a second time. Once your little one is ready we hope to see you again!

This is not a trip for those who need to stay connected. This is the trip you take when you want to DIS-connect. Sabal Beach is difficult (and pretty expensive) to get to - and it almost certainly will need to involve a boat ride no matter which direction you come from. But - and I can't state this enough...
