When I arrived the owner said that he was out of rooms with AC. I had made my reservation with confirmation a week prior. I obviously left. If he can't comprehend a simple reservation booking for his hotel, then I don't know what to say....More
I traveled alone to Belize and books this hotel. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to get to the hotel and leave Belize, see the Lamani ruins all thanks to the help of the staff who spoke English!
Sadly discarded dorms in favor of rooms which are inexpensive, but absolutely nothing to write home about. Town would be worth skipping, but better - and cheaper options have become available on Hostelworld. BZ$45 for a single room should be no more than BZ$30 --...More
Akihito hotel isn't glamorous- but it does the job of a cheap place to stay for visiting Lamanai. They even helped organise our tour (BZ £100) and it was one of the best tours we've had in Belize.

Had two rooms on the top floor. Very steap stairs! Room 28 was very hot and uncomfortable with fan only. Room 25 good with quiet fan. Interesting placement of mirror! I guess it confirms a previous post that it is used for other purposes
